Awesome staff! Incredibly helpful. Five to ten minute walk to the Kilver Court & Gardens $ cafe. Well worth a visit!

Bar okay. Breakfast: continental poor no plates no glasses for juice last day no stock not even bread. Cooked ok when you could get it 2 out of 4 days 1 day provided after some heated discussion with manager. Overall rating very poor.

This beautiful pub on the outside could be great and has bags of potential but the accommodation feels currently run down. The bedrooms, bathrooms, corridor need updated. The new landlord and new barman were friendly enough but the bar and restaurant had limited stock which meant we gave up on dinner and went to town. The continental breakfast consisted of cereals and toast (no plate). So our experience was overall disappointing.

Lovely clean rooms and very comfortable beds. The shower riser rail needed replacing in one room as we had to hold the showerhead in order to use it. But water was hot and plentiful. Lots of parking available and electric car charge points too. Despite being near the main road the room was very quiet and no traffic noise heard. Staff were helpful although mixup on first morning with who was working so breakfast slightly delayed. 2nd day was much better with decent breakfast (but please don't put black pepper on everything!) Overall a lovely stay and conveniently located for us. We hope to return in the future.

I was not impressed with my stay despite Ethan, the only employee available, doing a stalwart job to help us. There was a problem with heating, water leaks, cold shower, no one to prepare breakfast

Firstly I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone. On the plus side the room was clean but any so called amenities were pretty basic for what was described as 4 star. To be told on arrival by the manager/chef/barman/probably everything this as he seemed to be the only person on the premises, that there was no food due to no delivery was a bit of a blow. Then be told that an English breakfast was going to be an additional £8 per head also didn't go down well. We were informed that breakfast was between 8-10. Thankfully we were only staying the one night, as in the morning no breakfast appeared infact nobody in the place seemed to be around. My wife and I began to think apart from others who were staying noone else was in the property, infact I had to unlock the front entrance first thing. We ended up leaving our room keys on the bar and left. Clearly the place is being run if you can say run on a shoe string. Unless some serious organisation/work on the place is carried out ASAP then closure is inevitable, which would be a great shame for a lovely building.

The food was very limited, all frozen rubbish. Expedia advertised breakfast, no breakfast included. The rooms were dirty. Ours was obviously over the kitchen as it smelt of dirty cooking fat. You could hear the people talking in the next bedroom. The bed was really small and you rolled into the middle.

Room was clean however booked 2 rooms and had one towel between 4. Had to request more towels. Breakfast was very poor. Basically a bit a fruit, some small boxes of cereal and bread that was mouldy. Really badly presented. A little bit more attention to detail and fix fundermental issues and it could be decent accomodation. But really dissapointed and would not stay again
