We spent 2 nights at Woodbury Lodge shortly after a 4 night stay in Sabi Sands, and were really glad that we did! This is an "Out of Africa" style tented camp with no electricity! Visitors stay in quaint, private tents with private bathrooms. Daily safari's are led by knowledgeable guides. Ample food and beverages are included. There's room for 6 visitors total, so the experience is intimate and the staff treat you like family. Definitely worth experiencing. They handled our transportation to and from Port Elizabeth Airport.

We had the most amazing time. Everything was wonderful! The room was beautiful. The staff were so friendly. The food was great....not to mention the fabulous guides and the beautiful animals on safari!

Exceptional property, design, and experience with top hospitality. The common areas are picture-perfect overlooking small waterholes frequently visited by playful warthogs, curious antelope, and brightly colored birds while you eat breakfast and lunch. The villa interior surprised us in every corner from little aesthetic details, unexpected offerings in the cupboard, local bedtime stories at turndown, or staff leaving wine and glasses by the bathtub our first night. Great food, great game drives with knowledgeable drivers. The drivers are wildlife experts and were happy to answer any questions (and we had a lot!). I really hoped to see the giraffes up close and our driver delivered!

Hlosi on the Amakhala game reserve was fabulous from start to finish , all the staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was delicious with several options per course, we enjoyed every meal . The game drives were amazing , our guide Ambe was informative and knowledgeable, took the time to answer all our questions also great fun. The animals and birds we saw here were spectacular.

The grounds go down to Sundays River, so amazing view. Room was super comfortable— deep bathtub! Breakfast and delicious. I wish I could’ve stayed another night or two.

Truly, a five star experience that went above and beyond expectations because of Ranger John! He is an expert level two ranger; has deep knowledge of the nature and history of the land is completely unparalleled! There are many times where he was able to see animals that no one else could see because of his 40 years of experience in the bush. On one of the game drives, he smelled a carcass, and we went to explore the carcass and subsequently which led us to who hidden lions that were finished...

the Sharer building I was in is slated for upgrades. I hope they will include screens in front of windows, lockable rooms, and a back-up power generator and wifi. wifi is limited to the office building and newer rooms. lovely place, otherwise

The property was nice and the rooms well kept. No thrills, confortable bed and very nice food.

It was a great place to stay. My wife, me and our little son stayed in the Elephant suite with view over towards the river. It was a clean little Apartement with everything you need. Very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious too. Strongly recommend this place if you want to visit the Addo Elephant Park. The South entrance is just a couple of minutes drive away. If you have time enough also visit person park. It's entrance is also just a minute away. Great place to spend some time.

Great hotel tucked away high in the Zuurberg Pass, with awesome views of the valley and Addo Elephant NP. The hotel was built last century, and has the charm of an African Safari Lodge. The staff have been working there for years, and are great for whatever you need. Nice gardens to walk around. It's a little remote, but an excellent and wonderful get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
