Scandinavian HideOut for Couples and Families, Firepit, Outdoor Games
Something different in the Smokies. The HideOut is an architect-designed cabin built for the kind of trip where you actually unwind — hot tub on the deck, fire pit under the stars, and mountain views from every corner. Modern, private, and packed with things to do inside and out. Five minutes from the National Park, fifteen from Pigeon Forge. The hot tub is always ready.
A Different Kind of Smokies Cabin The Smokies are full of log cabins. They are not full of buildings like this one. The HideOut was designed from a blank sheet by the owner — an architect-trained designer — and built by local craftspeople over two years. Modern lines, open interiors, and a ridgeline deck facing the valley. Private, quiet, and genuinely unlike anything else in the area.
The Outdoor Space The deck runs the full length of the cabin with the hot tub lit and warm before you arrive. A short walk leads to a private fire pit perfect for evenings under the stars. Throw axes, play cornhole, relax in the hammock, or watch a movie on the outdoor projector. There's plenty to do — or nothing at all, if that's the point.
The Design White-oiled wood interiors, authentic Eames lounging chairs, and lighting that softens as the sun drops. Heavy cotton linens, premium bath products, and a kitchen set up for a slow morning — espresso, good cookware, and no rushing. A curated record player with a vinyl collection waits for lazy afternoons.
The View The cabin sits on its own piece of Wears Valley ridgeline, sited to capture mountain views while keeping the deck private and sheltered. On clear mornings the ridges fade into the distance. On cloudy ones the mist sits in the valley below and you wake up above the weather.
The Cabin Perfect for couples, families, and small groups. The primary bedroom has a queen bed with a long view. A second sleeping area has a twin-over-twin trundle — great for two kids or extra guests. The living room has a high-quality convertible sectional that sleeps comfortably as a queen. One full bath finished with the same care as the rest of the house.
The Tech Starlink internet running 100–200 Mbps, Google Home voice-controlled lighting and music throughout, and an outdoor projector for movie nights on the deck.
Where You Are Wears Valley is the quiet side of the Smokies — five minutes from the Metcalf Bottoms entrance of the National Park and fifteen minutes from Pigeon Forge. The valley road has everything you need: great coffee, a moonshine distillery, a winery, and some of the best local food in the area at Elvira's Cafe.
