Driveway: the driveway is not scary or on an edge/cliff. It is steep at the top for about 2 seconds then is flat. The neighborhood is not on a mountain with scary roads. This is considered an easy driveway for the area.
Dogs: well behaved are welcome! For their safely I recommend a leash while outside. Owners are responsible for clean up and any damage. There is a large grassy area by the cabin. Dogs are $100 for the first dog, then $50 for each additional dog. Please let me know how many dogs will be staying. Three dog limit, if you have more, please contact me. VRBO will bill for the first dog. I will send an invoice for any additional dogs. Thank you!
Snow/Ice: a couple times a year we get snow. Usually early January. 4 wheel drive is recommended for the area. If you are not used to driving in snow, you can park at the bottom of the driveway and walk up to the cabin.
Pulling a trailer or RV? Ask me about parking it offsite.
Travel insurance thru VRBO is highly recommended.
At Christmas, time we have a 7ft tree with lights and ornaments. There are also stockings and a few other festive decorations. Everything is family friendly and not glass. Kids are welcome to touch the tree and ornaments.

Highly recommend staying here at this very well appointed 4 bedroom house in a quiet neighborhood. Awesome and very responsive host as well. We enjoyed watching for black bears, soaking in the hot tub, playing pool and the arcade video games as we relaxed between visits to Townsend and the Great Smokies National Park.
Very nice clean cabin relaxing and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Jennie was very quick to answer any question and a very nice host. Would definitely recommend.
My family experienced some major losses in the months leading to Christmas this year and we wanted a cozy weekend away to regroup and have some quality time together. This cabin offered the perfect setting for that. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us to spread out, but large common areas for time together, as well. We had great communication from the owners during our stay. It was a short drive into Pigeon Forge for a meal and some fun. We were very happy with our stay! Thanks again!
Great house. Nice layout with ample space. Kids can enjoy their own space downstairs while adults can be secluded upstairs. Everything you need is included and available with this property. Close and easy commute to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Highly recommend. Will be booking again for our next visit….
We enjoyed our stay so much at this cabin! There was enjoy space to fit 10 adults comfortably! The driveway is a little steep going up but nothing that requires a 4 wheel drive. We fit 5 cars there. The cabin had so many things already there for you to use like coffee, creamer, sugar. There was also seasongs and aluminum foil! So if you plan to stay in and cook, you are all set! The owner was so great! Anytime i had a question she answered me withib minutes! We will definitely be staying here again!
This property was wonderful for a fall break getaway with our family. It was very spacious. Our 12-15 year old grandchildren loved the downstairs area. It was their own private space. Being able to take their dog was a bonus. Our son and his wife are both teachers and this offered them much needed rest and relaxation. The cabin is convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We also recommend spending time in Cades Cove. The area surrounding the cabin offered us some great locations for family pictures. Jennie was an excellent host. She checked in with us often to make sure all was well. Just a couple of warnings…the driveway is very steep!!! Also, if you’re going to bake anything be aware that the oven temperature is hard to regulate. It will take longer than expected.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was well stocked except for empty propane tanks. We loved the pool table, arcade games, and hot tub. There was plenty of space for folks to sleep. Super close to Pigeon Forge. One thing to note, we found the driveway challenging as it was very steep. All in all it was an excellent stay!
The cabin was super nice and spacious. Perfect for our family vacation. Convenient location and well stocked with anything we could have needed. Kids loved the arcade table and fire pit for making smores. Jennie and Van were communicative the whole time and we would definitley stay again!
We had a very nice time and had a lot of fun. The cabin is very nice and loaded with everything fun we wanted to do. Communication was great and we highly recommend this cabin.
The home is beautiful and clean I love how the downstairs has a door to separate it from the upstairs. I also love the two decks. We sat on the upper deck all of the time that we were home. We saw several bears, mostly very young adults. We will definitely visit again.
We had a great spring break at this cabin. My kids (ages 9 & 11) enjoyed the game room very much. The hot tub was great, and the coffee bar was a wonderful surprise.
This cabin is beautiful! Reservation and check was super easy. Cabin was spotless when we arrived and had all the amenities you could ask for. Even had the cutest little coffee bar. I highly recommend this rental and we will definitely be back!
The cabin is pretty and roomy. Enough room for 8 adult humans and fur babies. Had eveything you needed to begin your vacation. Pots, pans, colanders, cutting boards silverware, plates. Kureg and a coffee pot. Hot tub was great for about 4 adults. My family playedOn the pool table all the time. The little vintage arcade game appeals to old people and young. Views were pretty I used the swing every night just to watch and see the view. Very peaceful. You are not far from most attractions 30 minutes (ish) that us tourist are looking for but still not in the hustle and bustle. The only things I would caution you about the drive ways are steep and you are going up a windy road to arrive. The stair case between the 1 and second floor is steep. Over all this place is great the host is super responsive we would recommend to stay here to everybody and anybody!!!! AMAZING, CLEAN, SPACIOUS, PRETTY, DOG FRIENDLY. It’s a must cabin!!!! Will rent again!!!!
I loved this house! We brought our two dogs & the area was perfect for them. Just beware the house and grass area is on a steep hill. Was perfect for our family of 6 and had plenty of room for others. Owner was very communicative and easy to contact!
Plenty of room for family to spread out, clean hot tub and property in general. Everything that was supposed to be furnished was (shampoo, etc). Perfect porch to enjoy the view. Host very responsive
This wonderful cabin home has everything needed for our vacation. Enjoyed the peaceful area away from the PF and Gatlinburg hustle.
Although close enough to get to both.
Enjoyed the Townsend area. IGA seems to be the closest for groceries. Also enjoyed The Abbey bar/restaurant on the river.
Saw a mama bear and cubs on are way into town. Many great memories made.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cabin! Beautiful cabin, gracious host, perfectly clean, and included nearly everything you would need for your stay! We’ve stayed in many cabins in the area and this was by far the best, yet! You get the secluded mountain experience but with easy access to Townsend and Pigeon Forge. My 3 teenagers did not want to leave! Something they actually agreed on! Just an overall a wonderful vacation!
The cabin was beautiful. Very clean and stocked well. The owners were very prompt when responding to messages/questions. The upstairs is 2 bedrooms two bath, the bottom floor is a large gameroom with queen bunks, pull out sofa and 1/2 bath. Very clean and roomy. Loved the double deck wrap around porches. Loved the proximity and location of the cabin. Directly in the middle of Wears Valley Rd. Loved loved loved this cabin!! Even had a bear walk up on our front porch. Will definitely be back in the future.
I can’t say enough about this property! It was located about halfway between Pigeon Forge and Townsend—about 20/25 min to each. The drive to both was beautiful. We went in to PF for a couple of dinners, but spent most of our stay in the National Park and Townsend. The beauty of this area is unparalleled. The house was a perfect home base for our family. The driveway was a little scary the first time (as were all the roads in the region for us city-dwelling northerners!), but we didn’t need to use 4wd to get up. The home was exceptionally clean and well care for. I enjoyed the books about the history of the area. Beds were comfy and we used the pull out couches, pool table, hot tub, washer dryer, and soaking tub! Everything worked well! Water pressure was great. We enjoyed relaxing on the second floor deck with rocking chairs and swing! We saw bears from the house a few times which was really exciting! It may have been the same bear more than once, but we still counted it! One checked out our cars and the grill and then left for the woods! The neighborhood was clean and quiet. You might be able to see neighbors during the winter, but we felt secluded. Recommend river swimming at the Townsend Wye or Metcalf Bottoms. Both about 20 minute drives away. Enjoyed tubing with River Rat, knife forging with Circle Bar T, cave tour at Tuckaleechee, and a drive along foothills parkway. Our host Jennie was helpful and easy to communicate with. Wonderful family vacation!
My family had a wonderful time at this home. Loved sitting on the deck looking out at the treetops while the boys played pool downstairs. It is a perfect distance to get to Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg for activities, and then get away from it all back in the mountains.
