Très sympa

Accueil très sympathique. Très grande chambre très bien équipée avec un flipper. Dans les pièces de vie des flippers, jukebox, jeux d'arcade, billard en libre accès. Petit déjeuner simple mais bon, mention pour le pain excellent. Si vous aimez les flippers et jeu d'arcade foncez y, expérience unique et atypique dans un très beau lieu.

Étape originale et confortable

Originalité, confort et gentillesse, nous avons passé un séjour agréable au château, ou notre hôte nous a fait partagé sa passion des jeux des années 50 comme les Flippers et Juke box et autres. Nous reviendrons.

We were booked for Aug.29. On aug. 27 I received a message from Chateau de Seurre that there was an error in the payment method and to contact them to avoid cancellation. I called but got their answering machine. I messaged them that I would pay cash if credit card was a problem for them. I got no response. I went to the Chateau on the 28th, the day before my reservation to make sure there was no problem. The gate was locked and had a message saying that they were fully booked. I called again and finally got a hold of the owner. He said that he had a problem with Hotels.com because too many people booking through them never showed up. He also told me that he had given my reserved room for the next night to someone else. This left me without accommodation for the 29th in a small village in the middle of nowhere. Eventually I found a house with rooms to rent who kindly agreed to put us up for the next night. I was left very upset with the whole experience and surprised that Hotels.com would do business with such unreliable establishments.

Schlossherr für eine Nacht

Mal in einem Schloss? Seurre bot da die Gelegenheit. Riesiges Zimmer (ist ja ein Schloss) mit bequemem grossem Bett und angenehmer Leinenbettwäsche. Auch das Badezimmer war gross und gut ausgestattet. Die Spielautomaten im Zimmer sind gewöhnungsbedürftig. Leider etwas hellhörig und bei chinesischen Mitbewohnern gibts da dann wenig Schlaf, schade. Einzig das Frühstück ist noch ausbaufähig, dem fehlte das Adelsprädikat.

A Most Unusual Place to Stay

We were met at the Gare by William and his new Volvo limousine and escorted to his magnificent restored chateaux. Our room was huge, spotless and very comfortable, with the biggest bed I've ever seen. (It also had 2 working vintage pinball machines!) The bathroom boasts a huge bath and a 3D shower. Downstairs is a series of rooms with a huge assortment of electronic games. Outside are lovely gardens and a large, modern swimming pool. This is a very special place, especially for the Man-child in us, and made extra special by the owner himself, a true iconoclast, enthusiast and gentleman.. I loved staying there!

Résidence de charme à raffraichir

L'endroit devait être remarquable aux dires des commentaires sur le site. L'extérieur est effectivement très accueillant. L'hôte qui vous reçoit l'est également. Les chambres et salles de bains sont très spacieuses. Le hic concerne l'état général qui demande un rafraîchissement digne de ce nom. Quant au petit déjeuner, il reste sommaire.

Proprietario muito atencioso

O proprietário é muito gentil e nos ajudou muito dando diversas dicas e ainda reservou nossa próximo hotel.Isto fez toda a diferença. Ele transformou o Chateau em um chambre d'Hôte e decorou o andar térreo com muitas máquinas de brinquedos eletrônicos, sua paixão. A decoração não e aquela que esperamos de um Chaeau mas é muito interessante. Ficamos em um quarto enorme, de frente para o jardim com banheiro com banheira e ducha, vaso sanitário separado e janela enorme. No café da manhã foi servido croissant com ovos mexidos.

Special

Situated in an old castle, south off Dijon. The friendly owner offers large rooms with bathroom, free parking and a nice continental breakfast. When you have a request, the owner will try to provide in order to give his guests a nice stay. Some features at the castle are swimming pool, game room with old Arcade games and pool table. Especially for children it is a paradise. Since it is an old building it has its characteristics. Thick walls, wooden floors and not completely noise proof or damp free. But if you want to stay in an old Château with all its charms, this is a nice one.

Heerlijk begin van onze vakantie

Prachtig stadskasteeltje, met vriendelijk echtpaar als gastheer/vrouw. Wij kwamen door files laat aan maar werden gastvrij ontvangen met iets te drinken. De hele benedenverdieping was toegankelijk voor gasten incl. de keuken. Overal staan oude spelautomaten die je allemaal kunt gebruiken, vandaar de bijnaam 'geek castle'. Bijzondere combinatie van oud gebouw met Ikea-inrichting. Ruime familiekamer met complete badkamer. Lekker ontbijt met eieren naar keuze klaargemaakt. Er is ook een zwembad en een trampoline. Enige nadeel is de gehorigheid.

Great location.

Excellent hosts - made us feel most welcome on arrival with cold drinks. The room for 3 adults was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast included.

Nuit de charme tenue par des personnes passionnées

J'ai découvert cette chambre d'hôte en déplacement professionnel, c'est maintenant pour moi un détour incontournable quand je suis de passage dans la région. Ce château est tenu par des personnes passionnées et dévouées à leurs clients ce qui donne d'autant plus de charme à l'endroit. Dernier point, le rapport qualité/prix est inégalable, bien loin des standards actuels auxquels nous sommes tristement habitués.

Paradise on earth - a most extraordinary B&B

The B&B is a restored "chateau" with 5 rooms. The rooms are absolutely enormous and incredibly comfortable. The place was very clean, and the room was well-equipped. The hot water pressure was good, the area remarkably peaceful and we slept like babies. Breakfast was included and we ate incredibly well. There were the standard continental offerings of fresh fruits, yogurt, cereal, bread, croissants, but also cheese, ham and eggs for the savoury-inclined. The stay and the food aside, what really impressed us was the experience. Our host waited for our very late check-in, and we were welcomed with beer and herbal tea. He stayed about 20 minutes to show us around the place and our room, and to explain the history of the property. The next day we were welcomed to linger past our check-out time as we were simply exhausted. The property boasts a garden with barbecue facilities, a swimming pool, a playground and trampoline for the kids, bicycles, magazines, a piano, a pool table, dart board, a candy floss machine, coffee, tea and beer on tap at self-service FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE, and about 20 different arcade gaming stations with almost every game imaginable and all FREE OF CHARGE. Hands down the best accommodation experience in our lives. Can't wait to return.

Komfort und nette besitzer

Wir haben ausgezeichnete Ferien im Château de Serre verbracht. Wir sind eine Familie mit 2 Kindern von 9 und 11 Jahre alt. Das Schloss sowie der Garten ist ein echtes Familien Paradies. Die vielen Spielen, vom Billiard Tisch bis zum Flipper, drinnen, sowie das Trampoline, die verfügbaren Fahrräder, das Schwimmbad (nur für dem Sommer) draussen, und für die kleineren die rutschbann und Spiele draussen, erlauben es für die Kindern zu spielen und riesen Spass zu haben. Für die Erwachsene gibt es genug Platz zum entspannen. Der verfügbaren Kaffee und Tee den ganzen Tag, sowie das gratis Bier fürs Apero, das guten Morgen essen und die viele Ratschläge von den Besitzern, alles ist da, das mann sich wohl fühlt.Wir werden bestimmt wieder mal dort hin fahren.
