Sessellift

Nice quiet area, plenty of shops and dining options nearby. Travelling on interrail tour, so very handy to have laundry facilities available. Near to railway viaduct but not too noisy and a highlight for 2 young travellers 11, 10.

Hotel is located right on the lake, we stayed there for 3 nights ( family trip). The room decor is beauriful but very unusual. All walls, including ceiling are painted in black navy, extremely dark, walls have also some wood paneling, some mirrors, with very, very, very few lights. It was so dark, we kept bumping into walls and mirrors. Its a very theatrical decor, just not practical. Also, the grass, lawn, trees, shrubs were dried up, dying. I know Lucerne area has had little rain but landscaping is part of the hotel's appeal and sprinkler system should be installed. Dried up, yellow bushes, dried up yellow lawn, dying trees - it doesn't look very inviting.

Spent 1 night here while backpacking Europe. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. I would stay here if I needed a place in Zurich again.
