Excellent Hotel Resort, the Best of the Best -:)

Excellent Resort/Hotel, Management, Staff and facilities. In all 8 Years I have been in The Gambia in several Resorts, Hotels, Apartments, Luxe Lodges, this is the Best, number one for me. The Garden is marvellous too and the swimming pool is Best ever seen, same for the Room. Excellent wuality, nice style and so nice to relaxe. I am realy impressed

Quiet, peaceful, clean hotel beach resort

From the outside of the beach hotel resort, to the lobby and then the entire surrounding of the hotel area itself were very amazing and the rooms were highly comfortable. The restaurant area was nicely decorated and the foods were made cooked to order. Moreover, fresh ingredients were used and the taste were mouth watering delicious in every bite. At night, the lights lit up the entire hotel property. The pools sparkled with cleanliness and the sound of nature made it so peaceful. I wanted to stay longer, but had to return back to the USA to be with my kids. Hands down this has been one of the best clean beach hotel resorts I have vacationed at period. Love it!

The property has a lovely concept, but the property is runned down, walls are falling apart, the same with the furniture. However, the staff is wonderful and very nice.

The decore in the rooms are very unique. The downside was the bed, it had a shelf surrounding and being short it made it hard to get in and out of bed. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a little disappointing with not much selection to choice from. Overall a great experience and would definitely return

The staff are the best and will go above and beyond to assist customers. The breakfast was fine. The location is excellent and within walking distance of most things you would want and need on holiday. The peacocks and other birds that live on the grounds made it a wonderful, unique place to stay. The beds are really not comfortable, unfortunately. Oh, and there seemed to be a shortage of napkins and toilet paper for some strange reason: we did however, find plenty in the shop, some 50 metres from the hotel.

Improvement

I changed rooms 3 times due to A/C issues, privacy, and also outside noise. No A/C in public areas eg, lobby and breakfast area. I did brought the issues that I experienced with the General manager. As a hotel manager my self, I made some recommendations. I worked for Hilton brand hotels .

Most of the staff was friendly, while one other staff refused to speak or say hello to me at breakfast time. They only wanted my room number. I eventually said hello and greated them but they seem uncomfortable. However they were more friendly to other guests than myself. So I will not be returning to Bamboo resort. They also charge for late check out by the hour and when i left my luggage at reception it was left unattended eventhough i was told someone will always be there to keep an eye. I was very disappointed
