"This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). The outside space was so private and had a fantastic view over the fields and to the hills beyond. Our favourite thing was sitting out at night by the fire pit and relaxing, looking up at the stars. Helen and Claire made me welcome and went above and beyond, recommending walks and providing me with everyhing to make the most of a short stay. I would highly recommend this cottage and location. A short walk into town, but in the country, surrounded by birdsong and views, with great walks in your door step."

"The staff were very friendly. The thing that disappointed us was the breakfast as we paid £18 each for a very mediocre breakfast certainly not worth the money. The cooked breakfast was in canisters and barely warm and very little choice of fresh fruit cheese and cold meats the tea you had to make yourself the coffee also make yourself and having stayed in many hotels over the years. This was probably the worst breakfast we’ve ever experienced."
