Urban Woodland Retreat, Near the ~UW~, Convenient to Everything

You will be delighted as you descend from street level in a quiet family neighborhood to your garden-level suite opening onto a mature wooded greenbelt along the popular Burke-Gilman trail. You will open your private entrance to find a lovely, roomy apartment, providing two comfortable bedrooms. You'll have to decide whether to sink into the comfortable sofa to enjoy the big screen TV with cable, cozy up before the floor to ceiling windows to drink in the serene view of trees, birds and Lake Washington in the distance, or cook a gourmet meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Your guests will relax and chat at the bar while you create, then you can share your bounty at the dining table. You may choose to barbecue outdoors and dine al fresco on your private deck, patio or around the crackling fire-pit.

The first bedroom has a king size bed, huge closet and wall-mounted TV. The second bedroom has an inviting queen size bed, convenient storage and a large window looking out on the wooded garden. This bedroom adjoins the full bathroom with tub and shower, separate vanity with plenty of storage.

You have your own laundry room, complete with front loader, high efficiency washer and dryer. Your suite will always be comfortable, with natural gas heat and central air conditioning. You will enjoy the gas fireplace in the living room. You and your family will always feel safe with your own security system.

Your guest suite is your home away from home, secluded-feeling but minutes away from all the amenities and activities you could want. You have your own covered parking spot steps from the stairway that takes you down three levels to your urban oasis. You will find easy street parking in the uncrowded neighborhood. You are steps away from public transportation, taking the Metro bus to the University District, Seattle Center, Northgate, Ballard or downtown in minutes. The bus will also take you to the University Station for light rail to downtown, the sports stadium area and Sea-Tac airport. You can hop on the Burke-Gilman trail for a walk, run or bike trip to Magnuson Park, University Village, the University of Washington campus, or points beyond.

Perfect Seattle stay for a small or couples. The area was nice, close to University, parks and pretty easy to get downtown. Beautiful outdoor deck overlooking woods with lots of birds. Place had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing.

Seattle Excursion

Seattle was a short stop on our way to Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise. The VRBO was absolutely spotless, well stocked, and had a beautiful view. The host Ron was accommodating and responsive to all of our needs. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Fourth!

The property was spotless. The owner was readily available and helpful with everything. While it was a little ways to the city center, we used rideshares and the light rail seamlessly. I would highly recommend this adorable two bedroom to all. Thank you Ron for a great stay!

Property is beautiful! Brand new carpet and everything looks brand new!! Outdoor porch is so comfy to sit and enjoy the outdoors! Every amenity thought of from complimentary drinks, cooking spices, s’mores, toiletries, etc!!! Even a makeup mirror for the ladies!!

Lovely Stay

I hate to say wonderful things about this place as I want to keep it a secret. It is amazing - from the location to the amenities and to the beautiful woodland backyard. There are so many things I could point to as examples but our favorite was Ron had a s’mores kit ready to go for when our granddaughter visited. We will be back!

Home from home

We love the location and have returned to this home from home many times to be near to our family. The grandkids take turns to come and stay with us and the fire pit with S’mores has become a tradition!

Greenbelt Hideaway

Nestled at the bottom of three flights of stairs, this cozy little apartment opens out onto a beautiful lush patio, which in May was filled with flowering shrubs. Gorgeous. Spotless does not even approach describing how clean it was. Great spot.

This property had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay plus a few lovely extra touches. I have never had a host walk me through the property before and Ron was friendly with a quick tour that helped us settle in faster. Above all I loved sitting on the deck with my coffee in the morning. You know that there is a busy road on the other side of the trees as there is a light hum, but you are nestled in a serene spot where you can slowly wake up in the morning. I wish I could have this everyday!

Property is absolutely beautiful, good restaurants and coffee a very short walk from your door. Great location, very clean and nice inside. Windermere Cup 2025

Ron’s place really suited our requirements for 12 days in Seattle to be close to UW campus for 2 rowing regattas. Close to a supermarket and a beautiful neighbourhood for morning walks. It was like home away from home. Thank you for the extra touches Ron.

Probably the best stay I’ve had in a long time! I want to be selfish and keep it all to myself but I won’t. There were more amenities than I’ve had anywhere else. We were immediately impressed with the host and property. So much so that we extended our visit. We ended up staying in more than going out into Seattle because we liked it so much. The location was perfect for our plans with our daughter at UW; and the neighborhood, yard and proximity to the Burke-Gilman Trail was just perfect for us! The unit was clean, beautifully maintained, and was stocked with everything you can think of in terms of what you might need or forget- including cold beverages in the fridge! I have never stayed at any other VRBO that included so much to make you feel at home. That’s all because of Ron, the host/owner, who couldn’t have been more friendly, accessible or accommodating! Hope to find this property available again for a future stay.
