Seahouses is one of Northumberland’s best-loved coastal villages and makes a brilliant base for guests discovering the area for the first time. Once a working fishing port linked to nearby North Sunderland, it still has a bustling harbour atmosphere today, with fishing boats, leisure craft and boat tours heading out to sea. The harbour is also known for its historic lime kilns and RNLI connection to local heroine Grace Darling, whose story is woven into the character of the village.

One of the biggest draws is the Farne Islands, reached by boat from Seahouses harbour.
