This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and super clean. I felt like a VIP from the minute I arrived. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the healthy breakfast in the morning was beautifully set up.
Our stay at Naveria Heights Lodge was fantastic. The location is superb and the staff is one of the nicest we have seen in a while! We enjoyed the breakfasts and the room. The accommodation is positioned on a steeper hill, so you need 4x4 to get up there if you are planning to rent a car. It is a short walk to the town, however, you can ask for a driver to bring you to places if you like. Vinaka, we loved it! Nela & Stefan
Amazing staff and property! Felt like home. Only a handful of rooms. Felt like we had our own private chef. Food is delicious and highly recommend ordering their meals. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Grounds are meticulously kept up. It's a steep driveway, but the views are incredible and worth it. Wish we could've stayed longer. Highly highly recommend.

I had a good time at Naveira due to my own humour and staff for laughing with me the whole time.
Hiked the steep incline in the pouring rain, pitch black with no assistance to find a blacked out, no lights on hotel. Upon trying to call the hotel listed number it's disconnected. As i found out the owner is away, phone switched off and hasnt paid her staff during Christmas. Don't stay here if you care about the ethical treatment of local people.
I looked for staff after walking uphill for 20 mins and found someone who told me there is no transport up and we have to walk. Apparently, staff cant use the 4wd on site which is the only means to get up the dangerous path. Luckily staff walked down with me slipping the whole way in the the dark downpour at 8pm.
We found a guy who lives down below who takes advantage of Naviera Heights stranded guests charging $20 each way to go up and down 5 mins drive. He even refused to take us up the whole way due to rain and dumped us in the mud with over $30k worth of equipment with me after a doc film making trip. All of the equipment was soaked through on the rest of the hike up with most of it falling down the hill.
Everytime we tried to grab a railing it came out of the ground and had us dropping everything and falling backwards. Due to the inaccessible location of this place noone will come up here because of the road especially in rainy season.
Nice view though, nice dog, smiley staff not a premium place youd pay $50 pn in Asia.
My wife and I booked here months in advance, one-night pre and one night post sailing trip. The first night was satisfactory but when we were going to check-in after our sailing trip, the owner picked us up and drove us to another hotel we had no clue about and dropped us off with not much explanation. This was a large-scale hotel and very crowded. Our room was above a noisy swimming pool. We had booked Naveria Lodge for a quiet stay. As Americans we have been blessed to travel to many destinations around the world, and this was the first time we had experienced something like this. After talking to the owner on the phone, she really didn't have an explanation and said she would get back to us about moving us to a "villa" - as we didn't know what sort of a place this was going to be declined to move to another hotel. This whole incident left a bad taste in our mouth as you can imagine. This owner is an expat. Fiji is a beautiful country, and the local people are very kind and hospitable - we will be back to Fiji but not to Naveria Lodge. We always read reviews of other travelers and wanted to share our experience with this hotel.
This is a great choice in SavuSavu. Sarita, who ran the place while we were there, was so kind and attentive. The breakfast she made us was fantastic as was a dinner on one evening .( the best meal of our stay in the area) It is located above town, without noise and traffic of but convenient enough for exploring. We arrived in a pre-arranged 4x4 taxi but, if you are willing to make the effort of walking up the hill which is a combo of dirt road and concrete steps that are fully illuminated at night ,it was challenge that we really enjoyed. After a little huffing and puffing, we relaxed with a quick shower and chilled on the terrace. Amazing. With incredible views of the harbor, the new marina, and the whole enclave of SavuSavu, the place is breathtaking. Plenty of food and drink options within walking distance. The rooms are extremely clean, plenty of space, interesting lighting with high quality local decor and materials. The very private outdoor shower and bathroom space connected to your room works very well. Inside/outside dining area on a spectacular terrace is a highlight. Plunge pool is a nice touch. We were super happy with our choice to stay at Naveria Heights.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this resort in Savusavu, and I can't recommend it highly enough!
The climb really isn’t bad at all (6 minutes tops) and the breathtaking views that await you are absolutely worth every step.
Logically, if you have a weak knee or are late-stage pregnant, I would recommend a taxi but it was a welcomed bit of exercise for me since I just jumped in the plunge pool once I arrived.
Overlooking the waters of the bay and lush, tropical greenery, the panorama is nothing short of stunning. The sunset on my last day was one of the best I have ever seen.
Each morning, I looked forward to the delightful breakfast spread (I learned papaya and avocado are excellent together).
The air-conditioned rooms were a blissful retreat ensuring a comfortable and restful night's sleep - this is my weakness so might not be a big deal for you.
What truly sets it apart, though, is the staff.
Their warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived.
I even asked them about how to be a good husband and father since I had just learned I was going to be a dad before arriving and was a little nervous.
Very embellished
The small pool and mountain balcony views are shared amongst all (not private).
Walls are thin, air con/fans barely work.
Everything in the room was old and delicate.
You can't eat in your room.
There is no menu for anything. You can't buy bottled water and the rainwater supplied is actually driven up in a truck.
The truck is not safe enough for children to ride in. And is the only option for getting to and from the lodge (at $15 per way).
That said the staff are wonderful and kind, it was very clean. The views lovely.
The rooms need to be upgraded and privacy/security upgraded.
A menu offered. An actual safe (not a lockbox). And gates to prevent other guests walking in front of your windows.
Fine for a night or 2 but too expensive for what you get.
READ BEFORE BOOKING!
this property is the equivalent of 21 flights of stairs up a steep gravel driveway. They say “free local transfers” but actually force you to pay $20 FJD each way to the main road. It is unsafe and very easy to fall on the steep driveway. As we were the only guests, only breakfast was an option, forcing us to go into town two a day (either hike or pay $20 each way). $80 a day for lunch and dinner, if you can’t do the hike. Not very relaxing.
We asked for our subsequent nights to be refunded, the owner Sharon ignored our request. We asked for the free transfer to the main road (as advertised), which Sharon declined.
Otherwise, the property is beautiful and the view is amazing. Staff member Jasmine was very friendly and an amazing chef. She did a great job at keeping us happy despite the fact that we wanted to get out of the place and stay somewhere with easy access.
The driveway is steep and dangerous. If you want to hike up and down, be careful!!
Best things about the lodge are the staff and the views. Staff are super accomodating, very friendly and great people to know. They’ll go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. The views are also incredible. Breakfast is light but filling - perfect for the hot weather. Swimming pool is small but nice for a dip. Only negative is that the only way up to the lodge is a series of steep hills. It’s pretty gravelly as well, so it’s difficult to walk. Even though there are stairs up to the lodge, it doesn’t go all the way to the street. It might be a good idea to hire a 4WD as taxis will not typically go up that driveway (it’s easy to drive around and was super convenient). The lodge does provide complementary transfer from the airport to the lodge, but you’ll need to figure the rest out yourself or pay for the service. Loads of mosquitoes in Savusavu so bring extra repellent! There’s a really nice swimming spot with coral and fish by Split Rock (6 mins drive from the lodge). 10 minutes walk from the lodge is the town with all the ammenities you need. The locals’ food is good and cheap - I recommend the pulao/palau that’s in the restaurant opposite Savusavu yacht club/next to Bargain Box. Copra Shed has a nice restaurant with vegetarian options (you’ll need to ask about it as it’s not on the menu) and a view. Overall, great place to stay and great introduction to Savusavu. There’s also a super friendly German Shepard dog on site for cuddles so 1 for that.

Me and my wife had a great time at the property. The views are breathtaking and not to be missed. Sharon takes care of her guest very well. Her staff are amazing, Sarita and the other two girls. Had a great time. Please only drive a 4WD up the steep hill or work with Sharon to arrange pickup.

Magnificent property with a spectacular view of the town.
Property is at the top of an extraordinarily long and steep driveway.
We enjoyed our stay.
The road to the Lodge needs work, but the owner is addressing the issue ASAP. Anyone must bear in mind that workers work on “Island Time” though, so one must have patience. The view is top notch, & Sharon, the owner, bends over backwards to help. Zeus, the Dog, is a lovely addition.
Clean room comfy bed. Nice views. Breakfast was nothing special and its such a rough go at getting up and down to this location..u will need to hire a 4x4 everytime you want to leave or come back to it. 15 fiji dollars each way...everytime you want to go and return. Steep & sometimes muddy hill to climb.
