"Staff was great and property safe and clean"

"This used to be my favorite hotel when I went back to my home town. A year ago I stayed there and it was looking rough. The indoor hot tub was no longer working and the outside hot tub was working but the waterfall and creek that ran beside hot tub is no longer functioning. They have let shrubs and flowers that used to line creek get out of control. It looks horrible. Stayed there again last week and nothing is fixed. It smells musty in hall and room. Be careful of extra charges. I booked through Expedia and got a pet friendly room and paid more for a pet friendly room. This is normal and thought the price on Expedia is all in. WRONG! They charged me another $33 dollars on top when I got to hotel. The pub downstairs used to be good as well, often having bands on Thursday nights. Not anymore. I went down for a beer at 9:30 and she told me it was almost last call and they close at 10! Found out it is new owners and I guess they are just letting this place fall apart. What a shame! The Quattro down the street is newly renovated and very nice, but unfortunately not pet friendly."

"This hotel was my preferred location up until the last time I booked and paid for a room. After driving 8hr from Toronto to get there, the disgruntled feminine Philipino boy at the front desk told me that there was no reservation for me on his computer. He was still grudgingly upset about me putting him in his place previously for harassing me about parking and so he denied me service out of spite. Aside from that loser, the other staff and services were top notch! They need to fire that racist disgraceful feminine Philipino boy who works at the front desk evening/night shift because he’s ruining the whole business. That little coward monkey knows who he/she is. "

"Everything was super superb!!! I was actually shocked at how nice and friendly all the staff were here compared to result of the terrible experience that I encountered at their neighbours location, the Days inn in downtown Sault Ste. Marie were I was rudely harassed and denied service by the racist feminine Philipino boy who works at the front desk during the evening/night shift. I was relocated to the Holiday Inn express in Downtown Sault Ste. Marie and it is now my new favourite hotel. I love this hotel and all the staff are great!!! Thanks again to all of their staff, the friendly Philipino man who checked me out and the two beautiful friendly ladies who checked me in and the beautiful lady who was so helpful and kind to everyone in the breakfast area, you all are truly very amazing people. See you again soon"

"There are better Accommodations for the the same price in the area that have microwaves in the room along with a proper sized refrigerator and clean sheets."
