The check-in process really needs some work, and it would not take much. First, I did not receive any check-in details from the property ahead of my stay, and when we arrived, I just went to the restaurant to ask since that's what I'd seen (in the reviews) that others had done. Luckily we didn't show up after hours, because I honestly don't think we would have been able to access our room.
Second, there should really be a simple sheet of paper in the guest rooms with basics like the WiFi info, where to find the mini fridge (there is NOT one in the rooms), and how to get into the building after hours. My husband had to go out to our car for something early this morning and luckily I stayed inside, or yet again, we would have been locked out (the code for our room was not the same as the code for the exterior door after hours). There is no front desk person on site as far as we could tell and while the restaurant team is helpful, it's clear this is not their job.
Other than the above negatives, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and in general our stay was adequate. I just probably won't be back and wouldn't feel right recommending this place to others, which is a shame - it's a cute spot and could be so much better if the ownership just paid SLIGHTLY more attention to the guest experience.
