The reviews are correct - you'll never get hungry in this property! I spent two nights in Otaru and I was the only guest in this property. At first, I had a chance to stay in the 4-bed room (or maybe there was some misunderstanding?) and In the end I slept in the 2-bed room, which was also very nice. The weather was not very good: typhoon, heavy rain and strong wind... But thanks to that, I had more time to spend with the owner. We talked about sports and watched Volleyball Women's World Cup together. It's shame that my Japanese is poor or I'd love to discuss with him more and ask him more questions. Overall I enjoyed my stay, thanks to the owner - he really reminds me of my father. Hope "Lao Tou" stay healthy and hope those "腫れもの" are nothing bad or serious.

추천합니다.

오타루역에서 도보 5분정도, 오타루 운하에서는 도보 10~15분정도 거리 약간의 언덕으로 올라가야합니다. 주인 할아버지께서 영어는 잘 못하시지만 굉장히 친절하십니다. 설명도 자세히 해주시고 배려도 해주십니다. 아침 식사시간에 사진 찍으셔서 크게 인쇄도 해주십니다. 다만 그런 배려가 불편하신 분들은 별로 입니다. 조식 식사도 정말 강추 합니다. 과일 5-6종류, 양배추 샐러드, 생선구이 한쪽, 계란말이, 돼지고기 구이 한쪽, 새우튀김 한 마리, 미소시루, 흰밥 나옵니다. 마룻바닥이라 좀 오래되어서 걸어다닐 때마다 삐걱거립니다. 한밤 중이나 새벽에 화장실 사용 시 신경쓰입니다. 화장실은 1층, 2층에 각 하나 씩 있으나 샤워장은 1층에 하나 있어서 조금 불편합니다. 호텔의 편리함과 정갈함을 원한다면 비추 할아버지의 다정한 마음과 맛난 아침을 즐기고 싶다면 강추.

게스트 하우스로서 훌륭한 숙박 입니다. 약간 시설이 오래된것이 단점이지만 청결하게 관리 되고 있습니다. 위치도 약간 경사로를 올라야 하는거 말고는 역에서도 가깝고 좋습니다. 직접 만들어 주는 정성스런 아침 식사는 감동적입니다.

리뷰가 너무너무 좋아서 믿고 선택했는데 해도해도 너무하다 싶게 육칠십년대 무슨 후진 자취방 같은 느낌에 방음도 전혀 안되고 물사용도 시간 제한 있고 어쨌든 샤워도 못하고 편히 쉬지도 못했어요

아주 훌륭한 숙박과 좋은 서비스 편안한 사장님

우리는 여기에 5일동안 있었습니다. 오이타역에서 아주 가깝습니다. 다른 호스텔보다 가격은 있지만 역이랑 아주 가까운 장점과 사장님이 서비스가 아주 좋습니다. 그리고 아침은 진짜 밖에서 먹는 호텔 브런치보다 훌륭합니다. 단점은 아침으 너무너무너무 많습니다. 밥,롤 연어 그리고 고기 국 야채 과일 요거트까지 하지만 너무 맛있습니다. 그리고 사장님이 너무 친절하시고 너무 훌륭하세요. 진짜 여기 숙박은 추천 또 추천입니다. 그리고 숙박은 대 부분 1인실 입니다.

아주 만족합니다. 주인장께서 너무 친절하시고 일본어를 몰라도 의사소통이 가능하더라구요 ㅋ 가장기억에 남는것은 조식!! 조식이 너무맛있고 양이 많습니다. 즉석에서 사진인화도 기념으로 해주셨어요 오타루역 바로옆이고 영화 러브레터에 나온 후나미자카에 있습니다. 좋은추억남기고 왔습니다.

The hostel is located near Otaru Station but the way to hostel is uphill climb. Service by the owner is very great and he also cooked amazing breakfast.

숙박한날 예약이 저밖에 없어서 아무방이나 써도 된다고 하셔서 여기저기 둘러봤었는데 다 깔끔하고 일본가정집 느낌이여서 좋았어요 조식도 맛있고 뭣보다 양이 너무 많아서 배가 터지는줄 알았네요 조식먹을때 이전에 들렀던 게스트들 얘기도 하시고 일본문화같은것들도 간단히 얘기해주셔서 살짝 밥먹는데 부담스러우면서도 의미있는 경험이였습니다 다른분들 후기처럼 진짜 저 멀리 갈때까지 손흔들어주시네요ㅋㅋ 그리고 위치가 좀 언덕? 경사진데를 올라가야했지만 역과 가까워서 너무 좋았어요

할아버지가 운영하는 일본 가정집 같은 숙소

후기에 나오신대로 일본인 할아버지 혼자 운영하시는데 일본어로 얘기하시지만 눈치코치로 무슨 얘기하는지 다 알아들을 수 있어요. 숙소는 다른 도미토리처럼 체계적이고 깔끔한건 아니지만 나름대로 일본 가정집의 분위기를 그대로 느낄 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 무엇보다 기억에 남는건 조식이었는데 정말 정성 가득하고 맛있었어요! 다만 한가지 아쉬웠던 점은 저는 1층 안쪽방에서 묵었는데 얇은 미닫이 문 하나를 두고 바로 옆에서 11시까지 할아버지가 지인과 얘기하셔서 좀 당황스럽긴 했어요. 화장실이나 샤워실 갈 때 계속 그 곳을 지나쳐야했는데 약간 신경쓰였습니다. 하지만 전체적으로 봤을 때 만족스러운 숙소로 다음에도 이용할 의사가 있습니다.

Feels like crashing at your grandfather's place

Lovely older guy owner, very sweet and welcoming, basically just renting out the rooms of his house. Cooks a huge breakfast in the morning, couldn't possibly finish all of it, so bring your appetite! Doesn't speak much English but enough to get by. Area was very cold at this time of year but there were heaters in each room and electric blankets on the beds - plus a TON of blankets, I didn't want to leave my bed.

Close to Otaru station. Owner was very nice, welcoming, and informative; house was traditional Japanese style; equipped with amenities; homemade breakfast was really delicious and in big quantity. Overall, very good guest house. Will stay again!

친절한 할아버지 :-)

싱글룸이 일반 비즈니스 호텔의 싱글룸보다 넓직해서 편했어요. 오타루역 근방이기 때문에 버스나 JR이용하는 것도 용이했습니다. 할아버지께서 정말 유쾌하세요. 세심하시고 웃음이 많으셔요. 나갈 때,돌아올 때 관심가져 주십니다...! 아침 조식 정말 양도 푸짐하고 맛있었어요. 특히 야채 수프 최고입니다. 기념 사진도 찍어주시는데...(전 찍히는 걸 좋아하지는 않지만) 창문으로 눈 오는 풍경을 볼 수 있어서 아주 좋았어요. 일층에 욕실이 있어요. 작지만 크게 불편하다는 생각은 들지 않았습니다. 전반적으로 쾌적했네요. 한 가지 아쉬운 점은 방음이 안된다는 것. 시끄러운 이웃을 만난다면 꽤 고생합니다. 그럴 때는 벽에다 두 번 콩콩 두드리면 조용해져요, 호호. 마지막으로 할아버지께서 제가 사라질 때까지 바라봐 주셨던 모습이 눈에 선하네요.

주인할아버지께서 엄청 친절 하시고 연락도 없이 일찍갔는데도 바로 체크인 해주셨어요 침대가 라꾸라꾸침대같은거라 좀 불편했지만 혼자있던방이라 방바닥에 이불을 내려서 편히 잤어요 다음날 아침도 주시는데 조식인데 너무 많이 주셔서 남기기 죄송했어요 ㅠㅠ 체크아웃할때 안보일때까지 손 흔들고 계시던 주인할아버지 ~ 정말 좋은분이셨어요

Ｌ is a good man!

I would like to stay again! if you like Japanese room and Japanese bed, "Futon", I recommend you. He can't speak English but that's OK^ ^ He don't need that. He is very kind man!
