Disappointing experience and misleading room presentation
We stayed at Safrani Suites for seven nights, paying over €1,800, and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed.
Upon arrival, we found clothes belonging to a previous guest still hanging in the bathroom. Mistakes happen, so we didn’t make a big issue of it.
However, the biggest disappointment was the beautiful bathtub prominently featured in the very first photo advertising our suite. When we tried to use it, we discovered that it didn’t work at all. No water came out.
We raised this twice during our stay, but were repeatedly told that the manager was unavailable. At checkout, the manager simply referred us to Expedia to request compensation.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that the hotel subsequently told Expedia that the bathtub is purely decorative and that guests are informed of this upon arrival. This is simply untrue in our case. The manager personally showed us around the suite and never mentioned anything of the sort.
Advertising a luxury suite with a beautiful bathtub and then claiming it is only there for decoration is incredibly misleading. Even more disappointing is the hotel’s complete unwillingness to take responsibility or offer any compensation.
For the price we paid, we expected much better service, transparency and professionalism. A real shame, because this experience could have been handled so differently.
