Beautiful property. Lovely clean rooms and both pools well kept. Infinity pool is amazing. Never a problem getting a sunbed. Staff super helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast simple and continental but always plentiful, love the fact they have a basic normal toaster. Bar snacks very tasty and drinks are named brands. All receptionists are very helpful but special shout out to the pm receptionist, nothing too much trouble. Also young lady on bar is a credit to hotel. So polite and friendly. Hotel is less than 5 mins from beach and promenade and surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops, Bus stop to Fira is outside hotel gates and takes about 20 mins. Cant wait to return next year ! I travel regularly and can honestly say I have never felt so welcome in a hotel!

Great small hotel based in a very convenient location for the beach and restaurants. Deluxe rooms are very nice with pillows and mattresses being extremely comfortable.

Perfect in Santorini

Amazing location. Very close to black sand beach. If staying more than 3 days, suggest renting a car to see all the sights and incredible sunsets. Hotel was exceptionally clean, breakfasts were very good and varied. Many, many restaurants Strolling the beach at night after dinner was a perfect way to end the day

Great place to stay

I really enjoyed my stay, Kamari is a great area and the pools were amazing. Breakky in the morning was also nice. Room was on the smaller side.

Everything about this hotel is great the staff and location is excellent. We dont normally stay in hotels but this has changed our opinion and we will look at more hotels going forward. We will definitely be coming back to Hippocampus Thank you for a great holiday

Fabulous stay

Wonderful stay, lovely hotel and wonderful service. Room was lovely and very comfortable. All staff very helpful. Hotel ideal location as close to the beach , restaurants and bus stop. Fifteen minute walk to the open air cinema. We hired a car for 2 days and saw most of the island, but can do this also via bus if preferred . Would visit again and would recommend.

Location: - Great location in Kamari, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, pharmacies, and the bus stop to Fira. - Close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful at the same time. Room & Facilities: - Clean, comfortable rooms with daily housekeeping. - Our family room had a small kitchen, which came in very handy during our stay. - The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, colorful flowers, and two swimming pools that make the property feel peaceful and inviting. Service: - The people at Hippocampus were what truly made our stay memorable. - The owner and Konstantin at the front desk were incredibly kind and understanding during a very difficult time for our family. Our daughter ended up being hospitalized in Santorini, and they went out of their way to help by allowing us to check in early, check out late, and regularly checking in on how she was doing. - Their kindness and genuine concern meant more to us than they probably realize. We feel very fortunate to have stayed here. Breakfast: - Complimentary breakfast with a good selection of eggs, cold cuts, cheese, bread, pastries, Greek yogurt, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, and juices. Overall: Our Santorini trip did not go as planned, as much of it was spent at the hospital with our daughter. Despite that, Hippocampus was a bright spot during a stressful week. We loved the Hippocampus for out 5 night stay. It's a well amenitied hotel with 2 beautiful pools and a 2 minute (or less) walk to the beach. It is also close to the bus stop for going to Thira/Oia. The staff (shout out to Elpida especially who clearly loves making her clients happy) is warm and very helpful. We upgraded our room to the maisonette, which is located ground level with a big porch and has 2 bedrooms (one upstairs) and a small living room. The hotel offers a nice breakfast buffet, robes, slippers, toiletries, and beach towels. The only thing we didn't appreciate was the sulphur smell that took a bit of getting used to. That being said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

The Hotel was amazing. Very peaceful and relaxing. The location is perfect, steps to the beach and boardwalk and numerous restaurants. Staff so friendly , breakfast was lovely each morning, more than enough.The property was clean and very well maintained with 2 pools. I would highly recommend this hotel.
