The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. Friendly and helpful staff. Great offerings at breakfast and good restaurant choices nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous building and views of El Zócalo, staff is top notch. Only downsides were the squeaky bathroom door and lack of soundproofing from outside events.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Izel! There are so many beautiful and unique design elements in the hotel, with the central staircase overflowing with green plants being our favourite. The room was large and the bed comfortable making it a welcomed place to land after a long day of exploring. The neighbourhood could not have been better! We walked to most places. So many parks, coffee shops, restaurants in the area. I was blown away by Mexico City’s beauty in general, but in particular strolling through the green streets of Roma Norte and Candesa were a delight! Special mention to Saul the bartender who always made us feel welcome and gave us so many great ideas of places to go and things to do. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is an upscale boutique hotel with a very cool vibe. No gym or restaurant or room service but a kitchen adequate for snacks. Coffee in the rooms and lobby and fresh croissants in the morning. Extremely clean, very helpful warm staff. Huge rooms (only 44 over 11 floors) with ultra modern layouts. Very quiet rooftop garden area for lounging. Trendy neighbourhood with so many great restaurants.

Staying here was absolutely wonderful. The staff are amazingly kind and helpful, the building is stunning, and the amenities are top notch. We like our rooms cold for sleeping and the AC delivered. We also had to do work for some of our stay at the WiFi was more than enough for two people to be working and taking video calls. The bathroom had good water temperature control and water pressure, along with L’Occtaine products. The square outside is bustling and alive with people and music but the sound proofing is so good we never noticed. A diverse and delicious breakfast menu is available to you every day, and on the top floor of the hotel, one of the best restaurants in all of Centro Historico is available to you for dining. We were originally supposed to stay at a different hotel in Zona Rosa that turned out to be a bit of a scam. The staff here accommodated our change in plans without a hitch, and were even willing to run a WiFi test for us before we arrived to make sure we would be able to do work here. The gym/fitness center is a small room with just a treadmill and elliptical, but there are plenty of gyms nearby if you want more machinery. Although Centro Historico is not as verdant or serene as some other neighborhoods in CDMX, it is in walking distance from a variety of incredible historical sites, museums, and restaurants making it a great place to call “home base” during your travels.
