Cheap and clean at a great location, the value makes up for the lower quality bedding. It was the least expensive hotel I’ve stayed at in Santa Cruz but will likely become my regular spot. Nearby hotels have cafes for morning coffee.

Completely misrepresented online — old rooms, zero privacy, and broken beds.The website advertises this property as remodeled and brand new with plenty of parking, but the reality was terrible. While the gentleman at the front desk was polite and pleasant, the room and property conditions are unacceptable:Zero Privacy: The curtains barely close and have visible holes in them. Anyone walking along the outside corridor can look directly into the room.Broken, Sagging Bed: The mattress has deep sunken pockets. If you lie near the edge, you literally feel like you are rolling off.Parking Nightmare: Despite claiming "plenty of parking," there are barely 10 spaces for the whole motel, forcing guests to squeeze their cars awkwardly around the property sign.Being polite at check-in does not make up for false advertising and a room where you cannot even sleep or have privacy. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Despite claims of a recent remodel, the bed was tough and felt like an outdated box-spring. We were stuck next to a loud ice machine that cycled on and off all night; the hotel was full so they couldn’t move us. Walls had unexplained stains running down them, and the bathroom had about five flies we had to swat. There was a mini fridge and microwave; however, there was a coffee maker— no cups, coffee, or tea. No ice bucket or bags either, and the lobby didn’t even have a fork. This was a real letdown. $180 for one night and this is what we got—definitely not worth it.

Me my family and friends have made this hotel our 1st choice when traveling to Santa Cruz, you can’t beat the price and conveniently close to board walk. And the staff is great.
