Happily stay here again…simple and value for money

Wanted somewhere inexpensive to stay in the old town. This was the cheapest place on Hotels.com and had good reviews. I would recommend staying here to anyone who isn’t worried about their room being perfect. Instead they are happy with somewhere simple and good value for money. I would happily stay here again. Great location in the old town a short/shortish walk from everything you want to see.

A cute option with helpful staff. Our so-called king-sized bed wasn't. Parking is a challenge. I'd stay here again.

Grand Babil Otel is excellent value and very comfortable - although the double rooms are VERY small. The airconditioning is perfect for the Urfa heat and the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially in letting us use the kitchen to make meals. It's a very convenient position - all major attractions within easy walking distance, as well as local supermarkets and a large mall. I would recommend the Grand Babil Otel to anyone traveling to Urfa.

Nice place good location

The person at the reception when I arrived was so kind, nice, and helpful with a smiling face all the time. The room was good clean and big enough. But there was no window, its totally closed and only outside contact is the door. Was a little bit hardfor me because the lightining in the room was alao not good. I mean because of its nature (old stone house renovated) it was cool when the weather is +40 C, and being totally shaded is helpful but if it was a longer stay I wouldnt stay in that room as no window and you only see the walls. The lights were really dim. Besides, the location is good, calm not close to central traffic or daily noises but close enough to walk center and historic places. There was breakfast included our stay but bevause they start very late we couldnt have breakfast. The time for brekfast should have been longer and starts earlier.

The staff were friendly but the place itself was a big disappointment. The pictures I saw gave an impression of rustic Kapadokia like rooms. The reality was very different. The room we got was very old and run down. The bathroom door would hit the toulet seat when you try to open. There was no real shower area, just a shower with the water running over all the bathroom floor.The neighbourhood was run down and eerie. Odalar pis, banyo rutubet, kişi sayısına göre havlu verilmedi, istediğimizde de ayak havlusunu yüz havlusu olarak verdiler, verilen terlik kâğıt gibi, banyonun aynasında macun lekeleri duruyordu, yarım tuvalet kağıdı vermişler, oda havasız rutubet kokulu… Kahvaltı dahil diye aldığımız odada; otele gittiğimizde kahvaltı olmadığını, sistemde hata olduğunu söylediler. Tamam diyip uzatmamama rağmen ertesi sabah yeni gelen odaya kahvaltı verdiler. Gidip sebebini sorduğumuzda da böyle uygun gördüklerini ilettiler… Baştan sona vasat, verdiğim hiç bir kuruş helal olmasın.

Kahvaltı ortalama standarttaydı. İlk odanın penceresi olmadığı için, ertesi gün bir başka odaya geçtik, tüm personel son derece samimi ve yardım severdi ancak odada teknik ciddi sorunlar vardı. Banyo duvarlarının alt kışımları küf tutmuş ve klozetin altından sürekli pis su akıyordu ve odaya kötü koku yayılıyordu. Sifon bazen 24 saat sürekli akıp, kimi zaman kendiliğinden duruyordu. Otel sahipleri teknik sorunları çözüp, temizliğe, hijyene daha fazla özen gösterirlerse, bu kadar net personelle daha iyi yorum alabilirler diye düşünüyorum. Ayrıca mutfakta kahvaltımızı hazırlayan Dilber hanıma'da samimiyeti için teşekkürler.

Otel genel olarak çok kötü, giriş korku filmleri gibi. Kahvaltı vasattı. Tabaklar yağ içindeydi. Konum olarak güzel ancak araba park edecek yeri yok. Rahat edemedik, çok fazla ses geçiriyor.
