「We’ve been coming to Cedar Point for many years. We wish we would have chosen South Shore Inn much sooner. We had a PERFECT two-night stay with them recently and will now use them as our first choice for lodging in Sandusky. 「Weird self-check-in arrangement--no reception desk or staff, just an e-mail with a code to let yourself in & out and a phone number in case you need anything--very impersonal, but o.k. if you don't like dealing with people. Fresh, tidy, and trendy inside. Bedside reading lights and a chair to sit on would be nice (stools at the counter are too high for tying shoes), as would a light outside the door that doesn't attract bugs. 「We had a pleasant stay. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was on the better side of a typical hotel breakfast. The coffee was very good. Fitness center was very typical for a hotel. Did not use the pool. Hotel was clean.」

「I’ve used truckstop bathrooms that were cleaner in the bathroom that we had in our room! That’s not even the worst part, the carpets need to be desperately changed. The entire room smelled of urine. It was difficult for us to even stay in the room. I would’ve left immediately but the entire town of Sandusky had been booked up. I will never say this hotel ever again. I am warning all of those who look for cleanliness, this is not the place.」

「We would absolutely stay here again. It was a great location close to great restaurant options and pretty views of the downtown and water. In the reviews I read the biggest complaint was the noise level. You could clear as day hear any conversations of other rooms if you were in the hallway. Once inside our rooms it wasn’t as bad but we are pretty easy sleepers and other guests were very respectful.」

「This hotel was terribly unclean. It was dirty and smelled horribly. Everything felt disgusting. Rethink this reservation before you book it. Do not recommend. We left as soon as morning came.」

「I really liked how I had three beds and the setup of the room was lovely. The only thing they could better is how they clean the rooms. I didn’t smell any bleach at all. The room smelled like old people and urine.」

「My husband and I came for our anniversary weekend. We got married at Cedar Point, but wanted to find some other places and things to do in the area. Anchor was a cute little place. When we first pulled in, the first thing I noticed were the beautiful (and real) flowers outside of each room. The property appears very nicely kept.
