"Only stayed for one night but will certainly be back, the hotel is an old coaching inn from the 1800’s and if you are looking for a bland, anonymous place it’s not for you, quiet, friendly, warm and comfortable with character and quirks, my room had a 10” thick mattress ( i’m sad, i measured it ) with very good quality bedding that gave me a superb night’s sleep and even a settee to lounge on while i watched the good sized tv, views out of my windows were of Lickey forest. The kitchen was not open but they have an arrangement with the duck pond cafe next door and i highly recommend them for good coffee, food and friendly service, nearby pubs within 5 minutes walk do very decent food, a great stay."

"Wanted to break our journey from Devon to West Yorkshire, the studio was just the job. Good value, great parking. Good fish and chips from Lickey Fish Bar and our little dog really loved Beacon Hill just along the road which has amazing views and is popular with many friendly dog-walkers."
