"My family and I had a great time staying at Velas Vallarta. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is excellent. So helpful and nice. There were plenty of activities to participate throughout the week. The food was good but not great. The beach was a bit disappointing due to the rocks, but the covered lounge chairs were comfortable. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was spacious and clean. The only negative thing about the room were the beds. The King size bed mattress was uncomfortable and the sofa bed was very hard. But overall we enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay here again. "

"The resort is spacious and never felt crowded. The room was clean and well situated. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was always fully stocked at Don Rafael and items were varied and tasty. The Asian restaurant was also very good with no wait. Mezcal pool bar is where it’s at!! Armando, Misel, and Manuel kept the vibe alive and our drinks full! Make Armando dance and Manuel makes the best Margarita on the rocks! It’s “Persian hands” certified double tap. Lol! Bring a Yeti style thermos mug to keep your drinks cold or buy one at the cozy gift shop for 600 mxn. Water cups are always available. The staff never stop. Changing rooms are available if you arrive early, put your swim stuff in your carryon. Luggage can be stored while you wait for your room. Grab a lounger early by the pools as people get up as early as 6 to get their preferred chair for the day or go explore and come back at 3pm for availability to open up again. If you’re worried about noise, request a quiet room. We still had an ocean view, but never heard a sound from anywhere. This review is for Hotel Riu Vallarta. There is an adults only Riu and the party spot, Riu Jalisco. This hotel is a chill vibe with families and friends who just want to have an all-inclusive Mexican vacation in one of the most beautiful places on the planet! Book it! Many activities can be booked at the hotel as well - whale watching, atvs, and other sight seeing adventures."

"This was a vacation for my wife and I. Property is amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms and resort were clean. Food was good depending on the time of day. Breakfast and lunch were always good. Dinner was average. All being said it was still a great vacation. "

"Rooms were clean, and the mini fridge was restocked daily with beer, water, and soda, which was a nice touch. My only complaint is the reservation system it shows restaurants as “sold out” within minutes, yet when you arrive, many tables are empty. This definitely needs improvement. The Japanese restaurant was our favorite and absolutely worth trying. However, I would recommend avoiding Salvadors, as our food was undercooked and unfortunately made us sick. One other suggestion would be to have an additional bartender at the adults-only hot tub / pool bar, as service can be quite slow with only one bartender. "
