Our stay was the best stay we have had so far this property and the staff go above and beyond lots to do the food was excellent. Every time we ate definitely going back the welcome staff yanissa wa extremely helpful. I thought I had left my jewelry behind. They did everything to look for it and I felt bad come to find out. My daughter had took it to Dallas in her suitcase, but I really wanna thank them for accommodating us in every situation that we had.
Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon and stayed 5 nights. Our experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so nice and they truly went above and beyond. The food was excellent. Everything we had was so good. Our room was clean and plenty of towels and well air conditioned. There weren’t too many people staying here when we came so it felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves. The pool was well kept and there was always a bartender or staff member available if needed.
Communication was also very very good. I was contacted to set up our arrival and was picked up by a taxi and brought to their welcome center and a boat took us to the resort from there.
Going through some of the other reviews I was skeptical of how the service and amenities were going to be but we took a chance and booked. Definitely did not regret it.
The resort is remote however if you want to get away to relax this is the perfect place. The only downside was that there was a lot of sargassum when we went so couldn’t swim in the ocean. This was communicated to us before hand and our room was upgraded due to the inconvenience.
I cannot stress enough how great this resort was and how awesome the food was. For a relaxing vacation you must go!!!

Liked: Staff & service
Getting to the hotel was good and it was as advertised, they picked you up from the airport and took a 30 minute boat to the resort. Being an all inclusive resort, we were looking forward to relaxing, enjoying the beach, pool, and activities
The property was very well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and swim up bar. The food was very good, but not much variety unfortunately. The staff itself was amazing, very friendly and helpful!
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The AC was perfect! The fridge was stocked with beer and soda.
The only negative thing would be the sargassum (sea weed). They have no control over it. The smell (rotten eggs) was very hard to get used to at first, but we eventually got used to it. Don’t plan on going to the beach directly in front of the property.
I would definitely go back again because the resort was very comfortable and the staff was so great! You also have a view of the coral reef and boat shuttles that take you to San Pedro several times a day for other excursions. There are also golf carts for rent that you can drive to go to Secret Beach to get your beach fix.
Excellent food and atmosphere! Not crowded; seats always available at the pool. The views are stunning. We went out on the free snorkel ride included with our stay which was very nice!
The staff was amazing, I mean really amazing. The restaurants could be more varied and it’s a little remote, but that was something we were looking for. Would definitely stay again
The rooms were very clean and very nice. The staff were very nice , friendly .. they made you feel like family. Food was good .

Great food! The staff was awesome. The staff accomodated our every need! Resort is far from town, but worth it! I reccommed renting a golf cart and exploring the island, visiting the beach bars along the way. Pack bug spray!
All the staff were very kind and courteous! Yanissa, Fernando, Santiago, Rashely and Erwon including all the rest did such an amazing job! Our room was kept immaculate, the food was amazing, and it was nice to have access to a top rate spa!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was amazing and the location was gorgeous! The food and drinks were also great!
We were really frustrated because the Expedia listing said the resort had tennis courts which it does not!
They also do not have bicycles as the website claims.

Room super clean!! Great staff.. only thing is resort is away from San Pedro
We had a wonderful stay at Reef Haven Belize. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. The location is perfect—quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to enjoy the surrounding area and activities.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always making sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We especially appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the stunning natural surroundings, which made the stay feel like a true getaway.
If you’re looking for a calm, comfortable place to stay in Belize with great hospitality, Reef Haven is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again.
The ocean was visible from our room and the room was very clean and nice. The daily housekeeping was impeccable. Our only complaint was the smell from the seaweed that was dredged up on shore was very strong. They worked overtime every day to manage it and haul it away, but there was a big pile stacked near the rooms and the smell is just putrid. Fortunately, the wind blew every day that we were there and that helped to lessen the smell.
staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. it is far from everything and costs money to go into town from the resort - there is two pools and a pickle ball court for entertainment, otherwise not much to do. we weren’t able to enjoy the beach due to all the seaweed despite them working hard to clear it. only one restaurant for meals with the same menu everyday, unfortunately my husband got food poisoning on the second to last day
We had an ocean front suite that was immaculate inside, just needs some door seals to prevent the on shore breeze mixing with the foul stench of sargasm, the workers worked hard every day trying to clear it all. We loved relaxing on the jetti on the loungers, shame they didn't have one section to fish off of, no fishing allowed on their jetti, although you could just stand in the sea if need, as its really shallow.
Food was excellent, i just wished they wouldn't light the fire pit when the wind was on shore, filled the restaurant with smoke.
house reef/snorkel was rather dull, recommend they take their guests somewhere slightly better.
Great stay overall. Service is great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was great and all inclusive was the way to go. Front desk staff was not very helpful and their communication was very bad. They commit to something and don’t follow up. We had to keep asking and may be give up sometimes.
The bartender Eddie saved the day. He’s the pool bartender. The food nor the beach did it for us. We checked out 2 days earlier. Although it was nonrefundable we chose to leave and enjoy the city. The sea grass swarmed the beach. It was so smelly I couldn’t smell my perfume daily. For the price we paid the food wasn’t good at all. The best thing on the menu was the cheese burger. Didn’t receive a welcome drink or hot towel. Very disappointing
This resort was a dream come true and would have been a perfect 10/10 if not for one issue at checkout.
The location is a true tropical paradise. The remote setting makes it feel like you have the island to yourself, and even the 30-minute boat ride across the Caribbean adds to the sense of escape. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay.
The food was outstanding. This is not a buffet-style resort, but there were plenty of menu options, everything was made fresh, and the dishes highlighted local and seasonal ingredients. The property is spacious, so the pool, bar, and relaxation areas never felt crowded. We also enjoyed the variety of activities, including ceviche-making and mixology classes. Despite the remote location, we felt safe exploring nearby beaches and trails.
There was some seaweed, but that’s simply part of visiting this region at certain times of year, and the resort did its best to manage it.
Our only disappointment involved an excursion booked through the resort. We repeatedly confirmed that the quoted price included all taxes and marine park fees, but at checkout we were told those charges were extra, increasing the cost by about 25%. The issue wasn’t the additional expense—it was the lack of transparency.
Overall, the resort is beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the experience is unforgettable. We would gladly return and still recommend it to others.
