The ambiance was amazing. The staff was really nice and helpful. The bar and food are amazing. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5, there are some upgrades needed especially if they’re categorizing themselves as high-end. In every hotel/ resort, until this one you can fined a iron, iron board, hair dryers, and a mini fridge (especially would be nice since it does get pretty hot). They have a weird extra fee for guest; which I’ve never experienced at any other hotel. On my birthday we had to completely switch rooms. Overall, my experience was pretty good minus those inconveniences.

La Marioposa is in a beautiful location. The building and rooms are situated for unbelievable views of the ocean and forest. There is a lot of wildlife on the property that you can see from your balcony monkeys, birds, sloths. They even have a adorable resident baby sloth. The staff are exceptional ...
