Had a great stay. Staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant had decent option. The place is far from town but they have shuttles running, and you’re right next to Maderas Beach.

Great staff and location

The hotel is really close to Playa Maderas wich is great, it just opened about two weeks ago but the facilities are in great shape, it still needs some finishing touches but overall it was a very pleasant stay. Loved the breakfast buffet although it would be better if you can include that in the room price.

Nice place reasonably priced and tasty food.

Common areas especially communal kitchen, dining area not cleaned well. Library full of spiders and not cleaned. My room had wooden shutters and no glass on the windows. Spider found in room, had to buy insecticide. Concrete floors no rugs. Good air conditioning.

Not clean, too expensive

Very disappointing! We stay at Selina in Granada and we loved our stay so we decided to stay in Selina Maderas. The employees were not really welcoming, always on their phone. We had no explanation about what to do in the area. We had a shared bathroom, it was always full of sand and hair, not really clean at all! Not even talking about the prices!!! It cost twice the price than everywhere else and the cocktails were served in very small glass. The food is average and also crazy expensive for the area. I would not recommand this place!

Fraudulent Behavior - Beware of Scam

I stayed at this hotel over a month ago. I booked it through Hotels.com and paid for it on the platform. However, when I arrived, the hotel claimed they had no record of my payment. They mentioned something about it not appearing in their system. Trying to be cooperative, I paid again with my credit card, even though I presented confirmation of my prior payment. I was assured the issue would be resolved by the end of the night or the next morning at the latest. However, when it still wasn’t resolved by the time I had to leave, I was promised I would receive a refund one way or another. It’s now been five weeks, and the hotel refuses to refund my money. Initially, I was told the refund had been processed but would take time due to “international bank transfer rules.” In later correspondence, the hotel stopped mentioning the refund altogether. Now, they have completely stopped responding. I want to warn everyone about this fraudulent behavior. The hotel clearly knows I am owed a refund and has even admitted it, yet I have received nothing. Don’t make the mistake of trying to be accommodating and falling for this scam. Additionally, Hotels.com has been unhelpful after dozens of emails, simply directing me back to the hotel as the responsible party.

Lugar bonito y cómodo!

Lugar muy bonito y cómodo. A unos 10 minutos caminando de Playa Maderas. Buena piscina y cocina compartida. Agua filtrada y buen wifi. La hamburguesa de pescado y los tacos valen la pena probar en el restaurante. Una experiencia super, volveremos!

Me siento estafado por el mal servicio.

Fue terrible una noche me alojaron en una cabañitas pequeñitas que solo caben una cama ni las maletas , baños compartidos a 30 o 40 metros del lugar. Tome la decisión en la mañana buscar otro hotel con habitación para una pareja y me cobraron $123 por dormir de 11 pm a 7 pm . Me siento estafado por este Hotel . La verdad le debería de.dar mucha vergüenza y devolver el dinero.

My stay here was great, it's a very beautiful property. The pool was refreshing, and there was different seating options to hang out. It was not very busy when I stayed here, so it was a very relaxing atmosphere. I would be thrilled to stay here again in the future.

The rooms are clean and beds really comfy. Kinda doesn’t get why this place is in hotels.com because it’s not a hotel it’s a hostel. If you wanna to sleep go far away from this one. The parties are so loud that you can feel the music in your rooms walls and bed. We don’t kinda even get it that there was basicly only couples and the bass and music is quite loud even during the day. The food is a little bit over priced, not good value for your money and the staff isn’t so friendly, half of the times you didn’t even get an answer from restaurant staff. It’s near the beach but that is almost the only good thing about it.

The hotel was located a fair drive away from San Juan Del Sur, but was close enough not to be really inconvenient. Check in was easy and they gave me a suite/private cabin which was fine for me but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with trouble walking as it was up about 10 flights of stairs, but the view was fantastic.The food was fine and the staff was friendly and helpful when necessary.
