Our stay was amazing. The cabin is so unbelievably you really don’t want to leave. Kathi and Dan set you up with everything you need. I love the private parking for my new truck, 2 tv’s and an awesome back deck. This was our second trip and our favorite, we will be back.

Cozy quaint respite
My Sister-friend and I loved every little cozy warm and inviting aspect of this cabin hideaway. It was exactly what we needed after a 6 hour day of hard core hiking. Shampoo, condition and basic supplies are all furnished and for that, we were greatful. We were also thankful for hot coffee in the morning and that too was provided by the host. It's the little things that matter most. A nice relaxing wine greeted us in the clean fridge and we loved the idea of a progressive guest book and took the opportunity to read comments from days gone and track travelers from all over the US. The bed was super comfy and waking up to a view of misting rain through the tree scape with birds courting us with chirpy song is all it took for us to know . . . We shall return.

Kathi and Dan are wonderful hosts that give you a peaceful and secluded retreat not far from San Antonio proper. From the nightly deer visits to the back yard, to their recommendations for places to stop, we couldn’t be more happy with our visit. Thank you for your amazing Texas hospitality.

Great Location … Even Better Property!
We had a wonderful weekend stay at Stony Porch. Dan & Kathi have created a fantastic cabin in a lovely setting. We loved the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pasture below (especially with the fun surprise of a lot up tree!), bundled up and enjoyed a glass of wine from the “lookout,” and cooked ourselves a gourmet steak dinner in the well appointed kitchen. We loved being close to both San Antonio and Guadalupe River State Park. Dan & Kathi were communicative and helpful. Highly recommend!

A Great Getaway Place
This was our 4th year at Stoney Porch and we've already booked for next year. If you work in the city or are just stressed out and need a break, Stoney Porch is the place for you. It is very relaxing and quiet but only minutes from nearby places to see. The host are wonderful, there if you need something or not there if you want to just relax on the porch. I highly recommend Stoney Porch for a remerable stay.

Perfect Escape to Rest
Stoney Porch was absolutely beautiful! The cabin had everything we needed and the views from the cabin were beautiful. My husband and I were looking for a place to rest in the middle of a road trip around Texas, and this was the perfect location to do so. Kathi and Dan were great hosts, and very responsive and helpful! We hope to come back again for another perfect place to get away to!
