"Stayed at Villa in Tenute Le Velette, Orvieto, Umbria. Visited "

"Palazzo Leti is in an amazing location, with views that can't be beat. The staff are super nice. The vibe is old world elegance, but not pretentious, just comfortable. We last visited 20 years previously and it hadn't changed much, even though things had obviously been renovated and updated over the years. The only downside is how difficult it is to get to it through the Zona a Traffico Limitato and the very narrow streets. Highly recommended."

"Our large group of family and friends loved our stay. Even with spotty weather (Spring rains) we were either cozy or basking in the sun by the pool. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, thoughtful host….we loved this spot. Todi was wonderful too - very few tourists and lots of places to eat. This is our 4th villa stay and this is now one of our very favorites!"

"What a trip! Gian (the host) was extremely helpful, our luggage was left behind at a different airport, Gian was extremely understanding about our delay and even arranged some food for us! He was always available to call and made our stay fantastic. The villa itself was stunning, lovely panoramic views of the area and very private without being in the middle of nowhere. The house was split into various apartments however we only used the bottom floor, which was more than enough. The kitchen was...

"This property is beautiful and the holy grail of places in this part of the world - uninterrupted views of the countryside and walking distance to medieval town full of restaurants and historic buildings. Adele is the perfect host and as she lives in neighbouring property is on hand at all times. Highly recommended. "

"A wonderful escape, especially after 5 activity filled days and nights in a hot and crowded Rome. The property is beautiful, with lovely gardens, perfect sunsets and, yes, we had donkeys, sheep and deer for neighbors. The house is spacious and comfortable, uniquely furnished with works by Orvieto Craftsmen and murals featuring the gardens and the donkeys. We were 11, ranging in age from 4 to 78 and took full advantage of the amazing pool complex, including hot tub, sauna and misting showers....

The cupboard to help yourself to if you’d forgotten any essentials was a really lovely touch. Tracy and Francesco could not have been more accommodating in answering questions and checking in with us whilst we stayed. We cannot recommend this house more - a really great place to stay."

"I cannot recommend this place enough. It is rustic in location, but modern in amenities. Checkin was fast and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful in getting tickets and accomodations set. The location was easy to walk around in, though we are in shape and younger. I was concerned at the quality we might get because the price was so low, but wow. This place made the experience so much better in Orvieto."

"What a great hotel at a perfect location!! It’s close to Duomo, very easy to get from Orvieto train station by funicular and bus A to Duomo. I got a room at a separate building from the main building, so it was very quiet and the room is so spacious, clean and comfortable. There are so many shops, restaurants, cafes, gelateria around the hotel. Highly recommend it!!"

"I picked this place because I prefer to stay in the countryside rather than a city and this place did not disappoint. It was quiet and peaceful. I also liked that they had an outdoor swimming pool, which was a good way to cool down since the weather was extremely hot. The breakfast was excellent, and I recommend their restaurant for dining too. It is traditional Italian food prepared to order without rushing. Be ready to spend at least an hour on the whole dining experience."
