Unfortunately our bathroom was dirty and mouldy with a resident large spider by the toilet. We couldn’t find the restaurant and we had to search for a staff member in the morning. Good location, the room was ok but wouldn’t stay again. Breakfast was surprisingly good though.

Cozy Room Near Stonehenge

The hotel is old, but this definitely added to the experience. I felt comfortable. It's a cozy place. Service was good.

Cheap and cheerful hotel above a pub/function centre in Amesbury. I booked well in advance to be central to the solstice celebrations and tbh I was lucky to have got a room because it was so busy. No parking onsite but you can park opposite in the Amesbury History centre car park which costs £8.50 for 24 hours. All amenities were available with free wi-fi, room dated, a bit of a musty smell but you have to expect that with the building being so old and historic. I was in a section adjacent to a pub next door where there was live music on and was pleasantly surprised about the sound proofing but got woken up several times in both the night and the morning by loud wedding guests. No real complaints. I didn't eat breakfast there because it was only one night and I kept travelling. The only real feedback is that if you got some new mattresses you could probably charge a bit more. It's a good old historic building.

Kunne være bedre

Godt slidt hotel, som kunne trænge til en opdatering, eller i det mindste en god gang hovedrengøring 😳 Personalet var høflig, ikke noget ondt at sige om dem.

A lovely friendly traditional hotel. A lovely historic coaching inn on what was once the highway through Amesbury. A short drive to Stonehenge and walks close by along the very beautiful River Avon. The room was spacious and the shower good. Very quiet. Good value.
