"Efficent service and clean room."

"We stayed in the Standard Double Room, Non Smoking (No Extra Bed, 18 sqm). The room was clean, practical, and slightly more spacious than typical business hotels. The bathroom had a small bath tub, which is customary, and a humidifier was provided where you add your own water before switching it on. Amenities such as coffee, toothbrushes, and combs were available at the lobby’s self-service corner. Check in was smooth and the hotel already had our Expedia reservations prepared. As with most Japanese hotels, copies of our passports were taken during registration. The hotel also provides coin laundry facilities along with vending machines for drinks and beer. The location is convenient, a short walk from Matsumoto Station and within walking distance to Matsumoto Castle. While there is a shopping mall right beside the hotel, it is currently closed. The nearest active mall is further south, closer to the bus terminal. Overall, Richmond Hotel Matsumoto provided a comfortable stay in a well connected part of the city."

"Hotel is connected to Nagano station, which makes it super easy for travel. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Mine had a great view. I also enjoyed the breakfast and service. Highly recommend! "

"Feels amazing! Every dollar well spent! First if feels like home for an Asian when you had to remove your shoe the moment you step into the hotel. You can walk bare feet from your room to your lobby and even to have breakfast. Next, the breakfast spread is mad crazy good and value for money ITS A MUST! Remember to add the breakfast option hands down! Room is clean, toilet is great as well! Next, the public onsen for guest is also pretty chill! Would book this hotel again for sure!"

"Location: * Very very conveniently located beside Nagano train station as well as the bus terminal * The hotel itself is also linked via a walkway on the 2nd floor to the train station - making access even more convenient * Lawson and Family Mart just at the doorstep; many food options nearby Service: * Check-in and check-out were a breeze, thanks to the use of an automated system (first I’ve ever seen!) * Staff are also very friendly and very helpful, especially when I had questions about the area Rooms: * Clean and well maintained * Tend to be smaller/ more compact but still made for a nice stay. The beds and pillows were really confortable!"

"Very clean. Very comfortable. The sky deck is probably the best amenity. Especially for breakfast time, you are able to zone out and focus on yourself and breakfast time in general. Breakfast times are appointed so not too many guest arrive at the same time which is a plus. Extra toothbrushes w/ toothpaste provided, comb, shower cap, razor etc. Did not have to worry too much about the distance to the nearest tourist attraction/location. Very walkable, but if you get tired, bus stops are at almost every 2 blocks or so. "

Really really good and one of the highlights of my stay I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying at Matsumoto! "
