"Kotohira Onsen Onyado Shikishimakan was 1 of about 8 hotels we stayed at over about 2 weeks in Japan. While all the places we stayed were good, this was the best. Their onsen is outstanding as were the meals. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience the Real Japan!"

The hotel is only about a 10-minute walk from the train station and right beside a lively local shopping street with a wide variety of restaurants and dining options. There is also a convenience store downstairs, which is very useful. The location provides easy access to many of the major tourist attractions, making it a great base for exploring the city.
