「It was a wonderful stay in a French chateau in the countryside. We rented a car so there was no issue with transportation but I’m not sure how you would get around if you didn’t have one. Our room was on the top floor but they helped carry the suitcases up as there was no elevator. I was worried about not having air conditioning but there was a fan in the room and when the windows were open it had a nice cross breeze so it wasn’t an issue. 「The is a 3 star hotel but I’ve stayed in 4 star hotels that weren’t as good as this one. The reception area was so friendly, with lots of comfy seats with a cute little bar, the pool area was immaculate. 」

「I do stay here 3 times a year but it’s busy. I don’t expect to be remembered but I was and that is welcoming. Particularly good as a solo traveller. I feel looked after in le phare. Plus I enjoy the atmosphere and location when having supper. The rooms are very clean. 」

「Amazing host and beautiful location, only down side is there’s a lot of steps although this cannot be changed. It’s the only bad thing other then that the property is clean well maintained, host was attentive and easy to talk too. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. 👌」

「Overall this hotel was fabulous! We used it as a base to explore WW2 sites and was very easy to get around the Normandy coast. Large, comfortable rooms with top notch amenities. Hotel staff was super friendly, engaging and helpful. The restaurant was excellent with a varied range of food options and reasonably priced for the great quality. WiFi was excellent!」

「The hotel is beautiful, in an old mansion that was once inhabited by writer Gustave Flaubert. The rooms were nicely sized, and room amenities (water, coffee, etc) were replenished everyday of need be. Staff were So friendly and helpful. Our only constructive criticism is that the WiFi was not very strong: it was in and out. However everything else was wonderful! 」
