Nous étions les seuls hôtes lors de notre passage et nous avons partagé le dîner avec lui: amuses bouches au coeur de palmier et beurre de cacahuète accompagné de rhum arrangé, gratin de chouchou, poulet massale, riz, crevettes, gâteau au maïs... tout était copieux et succulent. Coming from America, I truly appreciated the local experience, and his son was the first person that I actually was able to speak to in the outback of the Territory. In the week leading up to our arrival, we received three notifications asking us to check in and pay for our stay—this was confusing, as I had already paid. Once I replied stating that I would settle any remaining balance at check-in, the notifications stopped. Upon arrival, it was clear the hotel was preparing to host a wedding.
