El Camino

Magnificent 26-acre waterfront property just off the Potomac River. This secluded, quiet, waterfront oasis guesthouse is the perfect weekend retreat. There is 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom in the house. There is also a pullout couch. There is a large dock for hanging out / sunbathing. There is not a full kitchen, but there is an outdoor grill and coffee. You are surrounded by nature - this is a true escape! If you're looking for the perfect weekend getaway, this is it! *Wifi is spotty! Do not rely on it!*

The space:
El Camino sits between the main house and a barn. The main house is a separate rental property. The barn will be locked and is not for guest's use. Please take a look at the arial photos at the end of the listing to see the proximity of the main house to El Camino. There is a front porch that overlooks Jutland Creek which leads out to the Potomac River. The dock beautiful - there are always eagles, osprey and heron flying across the water; crabs and fish swimming by the dock, and very few properties in sight. It is a very peaceful getaway.

Guest access:
Guests have access to the grounds and the shared dock. They do not have access to the main house or the porch on the main house.

* On Saturday's, in the summer months, from 9am - 1pm, there is a farmer's market on Three Notch Road.
* There is an abundance of hiking trails, state parks, and beaches within 10 minutes of the property.

* The property is a 30 minute drive from Giant, Harris Teeter, and Walmart. Grab your groceries before you arrive so that you can relax and enjoy your stay.

My friend and I used it for a weekend of relaxation. The place was impeccable, the bedding very clean. There weren't towels in the bathroom, so if you plan to shower, you will need to take yours.There is no complete kitchen, but restaurants are closed.I love this cabin. It was exactly what I was looking for.

I absolutely loved my stay! The house was cozy, comfortable, and I felt completely safe during my time there. I especially enjoyed the peaceful sounds of nature all around. The pier was beautiful and such a relaxing spot, and the tree swing quickly became one of my favorite parts of the property. Everything about this place made it the perfect getaway. Just a small tip—bring mosquito repellent to fully enjoy the outdoors!

El Camino was a perfect little cabin to disconnect, fish, kayak (brought our own because kayaks on site are for the other big house). The cabin was beautiful, clean, and inviting. My 3 year old and I caught about 20 little fish down at the dock in a few hours. The whole family(kids and me) and I had stayed the weekend before and went to the local farmers market, barbecued, fished, and went swimming. I decided to bring the little guy back for a birthday trip alone with mom. Host was helpful and responsive. Were local so we may have found our go to weekend getaway.

Very private cabin, quiet, spotless and perfect for a quiet getaway.We sat on the dock to watch beautiful sunsets after a great day walking through Leonardstown where we met Sean, owner of a great coffeeshop/ bar to watch football after taking in the local flavor. The property was perfect to relax, read, play games and sip coffee off the front porch. Host was gracious and his description was spot on. We will definitely go back to The Camino!

Great stay!! I brought plastic ware and grilling stuff (utensils and charcoal), but was pleasantly surprised when it was all there too. Very clean and the bed was so comfy!! I loved putting out the foot rest and sitting in the chair watching the lake. Thunderstorms on the porch was so relaxing. It's just a comment, definitely not a complaint, I just don't want your floors to get ruined. When you open the shower door, water drips all over the floor (it runs down the shower door). Maybe an extra towel or bath mat. Again, not a complaint, just a suggestion.
Living room...what you don't see is a chair that folds out into a bed. I just used it as a recliner.
Bed was super comfy!! And pillows were great!!

Great little cabin

We stayed here while my daughter checked out St. Mary's College. Nice secluded cabin that was very clean. I would love a simple cabin like this when I retire. The sunset from the dock was beautiful. The bigger house to rent was closer than I was expecting but it was not rented while we were there.

Peaceful Oasis

What a peaceful little oasis along the water! My daughter and I stayed here for a swim meet at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. It was a perfect distance from the college, about 5 minutes. The house was very clean, modern, eloquently decorated and equipped with kitchen basics. The bed was very comfortable, which is bonus when staying away from home. The doc was so beautiful and we enjoyed sitting and watching the ducks in the afternoons. We will definitely return when it is warmer and highly recommend this wonderful home!

The place was phenomenal. Very clean. Very awesome to stay there. If you ever want to see the most beautiful sunset you have to go there. Plus the fishing was a lot of fun. Me and my husband really enjoyed the few days that we were there. Communication very good people. Very nice! That stayed next to us. I would definitely go back

Awesome get away spot!

Nice short getaway with the wife at this lovely cabin. Very relaxing and peaceful in a great setting. Only downside was not being able to enjoy the dock as there was another family with kids that occupied it most of the time that was staying at the other cabin on the property. Also, not a clear view of the water from the porch due to the trees but all in all it was a great stay.

Cute clean cabin for a couple/solo stay

This is a perfect little cabin for a couple. The photos listed are a very accurate depiction. We stayed two nights. We traveled here for a wedding so we really only used the cabin as a place to sleep/shower, but would love to come back to enjoy the area. The kitchen area has a coffee machine (grounds, not k-cup), a toaster, microwave, mini fridge. The cabin was very clean and the host communicated well.
