Beautiful mansion in the countryside

The place is just AMAZING and Valerie and Jean were very responsive. Absolutely stunning property.

Chateau visit July 2023

We spent a week in Valerie and Jeans beautiful chateau. 6 kids and 8 adults. The grounds are well maintained and there is a trampoline, ping-pong and ample space to play badminton, boule etc. The pool is a good size and heated. The chateau has a well equipped kitchen and possibility to do laundry, which is great when traveling with kids. The bedrooms are quite large, some of them with ensuites. Comfortable beds. The kids loved the little tv room, and set up their switch there, nice little hideaway from the adults. The chateau is set up for large groups inside and outside, there is ample seating and areas to sneak away to if you should need a break. You could choose to just stay at the chateau and enjoy yourself or use it as a base for exploring the area. There is a lot to see and activities to parttake in the surrounding area - however you do need a car. Valerie has been a great host, clear and quick communication, check in & out process handled professionally. The only advice I would give them for the future is to make arrangements for the damage deposit to be handled through the booking platform. This for convenience and security. We made an international bank transfer,as checks are not in use in Norway. Had no issues with that, other than a currency loss when returned to us. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your chateau. We wish you the best of luck in the continuous job to maintain and restore it, for future generations to enjoy. Recommend a visit!

Grande demeure pour une semaine de vacances en famille élargie

Nous avions choisi cette demeure, notamment pour son accessibilité car un occupant était en fauteuil. Il y a une grande chambre au rez-de-chaussée avec une salle de bain. Celle-ci est équipée d'une baignoire. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

perfekt ausgestattete küche. ein 6-bettzimmer hat die planung ziemlich erschüttert. wenig bäder.

ein großartigen haus mit park und pool bietet viele möglichkeiten. nur ein gemeinschaftsbad erschwert die nutzung der räume ohne bad.

Super séjour

Malgré un temps un peu capricieux, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette demeure pleine de charme. Nous étions 18 personnes de 4 générations (de 8 à 95 ans) et chacun a pu profiter de son espace tant la maison est grande. Petits détails, un 2éme lave vaisselle serait le bienvenu, ainsi qu'un peu plus d'ombre sur la terrasse ou des tables dans le jardin sous les arbres. Je pense que nous reviendrons l'année prochaine. PS : Les priopriétaires sont charmants et très acceuillants.

Great Family Vacation Home

My family of 15 ranging in ages from 3yr to 72 yrs had a wonderful week! Plenty for the kids at the Chateau and in the area with a rental car. Take the train from Paris to Avignon and experience a different view of France. Major car rental companies present at train station. Valerie was very attentive and easy to work with. Plenty of room and well stocked kitchen. Definitely would return!

Merveilleux séjour dans une demeure hors du temps

Nous étions une famille composée de 20 personnes et avons passé à la Condamine une semaine de rêve, pour petits et grands. Le château, rempli d'Histoire, nous a enchantés. Les chambres sont immenses et toutes plus magnifiques les unes que les autres. Les dortoirs pour enfants sont accueillants et ont ravi les nôtres. Pour le côté pratique, tout est pensé pour accueillir des familles nombreuses ou de larges groupes : je pense pouvoir dire que, des lits pour bébé aux marmites géantes, rien ne manque ! La collection impressionnante de jeux de société fut un vrai succès auprès des enfants, sans parler des livres, collections de J'aime Lire etc. La piscine est superbe et parfaitement sécurisée. Merci de tout coeur aux charmants propriétaires de ce lieu magique, que nous avons, je crois, apprécié à sa juste valeur. Je recommande absolument.

The residence was wonderful!

We had a lovely stay at the chateau. Valerie and het husband were very welcoming and gave great directions and tips on what to do around. We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful restored rooms, playtime by the pool, and spent lovely evenings outside on the terrace with nice wine and jeu de boules.

Wonderful holiday in beautiful surrounds Aug 2017

We booked the chateau with two other families last year. We are regulars to the chateau and have been coming since our children were little and my husband would devise treasure hunts around the beautiful gardens. Now our children are in their late teens and twenties - and they were very happy to come along (free holiday) with plenty of room for them to bring their university friends. The chateau is the perfect location for 3 families because there are three enormous master bedrooms with en suites - so nobody feels they have drawn the short straw on accommodation. (And plenty of single and multiple rooms for the kids. When we first started coming - we would share the cooking and clearing, but we have become lazier and - Valerie organises local people to come in to cook the evening meal (and clear up afterwards). There are excursions to Nime, Pont de Gare - Arles but it is just as nice pottering about, reading a book and having an evening game of boules before dinner on the terrace. We have recommended the Chateau to friends (with a large extended family with both small children and teenagers) - and they had a wonderful holiday too. We will be back!

Fantastic stay for large party of family or friend

We celebrated our parents’ birthday at this marvellous French chateau from the XIV century situated in a quiet authentic village close to the national park Les Cevennes. We were a party of 21 from 5-75 years and the chateau really delivered the most fantastic week to all of us. Everything was very well organized; the kitchen well equipped, spacious rooms, a fantastic garden perfect for the kids to play in and the swimming pool was excellent for playing, swimming and relaxing. The owners of the chateau were eager to sort out anything that needed assistance and they were also most helpful with tips for what to do and where to go. In addition the guided tour of by the owner Valerie made us really feel the history of the chateau. We strongly recommend this fantastic place!

On the recommendation of friends in London we spent a week at Chateau de la Condamine with eight grandchildren (1-14) and their parents, a party of 16. The place more than lived up to our expectations, the rooms were comfortable, the children loved it, and Mme Valery was a wizard with some extra catering. Her husband was extremely helpful, as was their charming eldest son, Augustin (10). The surrounding countryside is lovely and there are nice places nearby to visit. Highly recommended.

Comment tout décrire sans faire un roman en 4 tomes... L accueil est déjà souriant, simple, chaleureux et efficace. Des l arrivée au cgâteau (soleil aidant) on se sent dans un autre monde. La verdure, la piscine, la beauté extérieure du lieu vous plonge immédiatement dans un état de relaxation et de détente. Et que dire de l intérieur. Le château est déjà très propre. Chaque chambre dispose d une literie de qualité. La cuisine est très bien équipée. l intérieur transpire l histoire de part sa décoration et l atmosphère qui s y dégage. Bref, sans être châtelain on se sent dessuite à la maison et on n a plus envie de partir. Merci encore à Mme Colrat pour ses 3 jours qui ont fait de mon anniversaire un moment exceptionnel que nous ne sommes pas prêt d oublier.

Merveilleux et inoubliable !!!!

Séjour magique !

Très belle demeure, avec un charme fou, en cours de rénovation par de jeunes propriétaires sympathiques et disponibles. Situé dans un joli village préservé et une région riche en sites à visiter. Chaque pièce, joliment décorée de meubles anciens, a son caractère propre ; très bonne literie ; cuisine fonctionnelle ; jardin, terrasse et piscines agréables.

nous étions un groupe de 21 personnes avec enfants et bien que le temps ne fut pas de la partie notre séjour s'est très bien passé. le château est grand et spacieux ; ce n'est pas le grand lux mais il est globalement bien équipé et permet de ne pas être les uns sur les autres ; le parc et la piscine sont très agréables; le village est calme et la ville d'Uzes a proximité permet d'apprécier la culture locale.les propriétaires sont accueillant et sympa bien voir avec eux la répartition des couchages et la logistique des sanitaires car il n'y a pas de sdb dans ttes les chambre ; c'est très gèrable mais mieux vaut l'appréhender avant

Maison magnifique et très agréable !

Le cadre est superbe, la maison est très bien équipée pour passer une semaine de détente en famille : que du bonheur et de la détente ! En plus, visites touristiques ou sports nature sont facilement accessibles aux alentours. Et l'accueil des propriétaires est impeccable ! Que demander de plus ?
