"What a beautiful place to stay! A working farm, where they grow apples and produce the best apple juice we have ever tasted. The host was welcoming, a great cook, and full of information about the local region. Why stay in a city hotel when you can experience an authentic French farm, almost like going back 100 years in time to a charming and beautiful world of green, rolling hills. Highly recommended!"

"Great place to stay. Great base for exploring the hills and gorges close by. We hiked most of out 5 days but others cycled or explored by car or motorbike. Dinner was exceptionally good. Staff were simply the friendliest and so helpful with advice."

"A wonderfully peaceful week at Villa Rani. The property is close to the small village of Donazac and is spacious and practical with the possibility of sunshine at any time of day. It is equipped with the main necessities. The swimming pool is lovely, private and sheltered and the owner attentive and responsive. To note that there are no nearby shops so supplies need to be bought in Limoux (about 20 minutes on minor roads by car) or elsewhere. Car essential. The tranquillity of the place is unequalled such as to be truly memorable"

"Lovely shabby chic style hotel with lots of upcycled features within a renovated collection of buildings around a central courtyard. Attentive welcome from the owner and lots of nice touches, such as the gifting of a delicious homemade chocolate dessert on our final night. Makes a pleasant change from overly commercialised and formulaic hotels, where you are just part of a pipeline of guests - this feels more like staying with family or friends. Highly recommended"

"The hosts are lovely, the parking was great and the space charming. The room was a little cold, the bed a little hard - an extra blanket would have been nice as well as soap for the shower - but I could have asked for these things and I am sure my requests would have been happily tended to. A simple breakfast was provided and I could bring my own food to keep in the fridge and warm up if needed. There is a cozy common room to read or watch tv in. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A great location to drive to the various sites in the region."
