"1min walk from Oita JR station, where there was shopping, many dining options and a supermarket. The in-house onsen was excellent. The laundry facilities were surprisingly free of charge, but there’s a charge for dryers. Buffet breakfast was amazing serving many traditional Japanese items that we were glad to try. It’s a very convenient base to visit the surrounding towns of Beppu and Yufuin. "

"The property was more like a business hotel setting with a small room. If you're looking for Japanese experience, it's not a property for you. However, it was fairly new and clean, the staff was very friendly, and the service was awesome! Our reservation didn't include dinner or breakfast, but we were able to add breakfast for ¥1500 per person at the check in. We didn't add dinner because there were plenty of restaurants near the hotel to close from. The front desk staff provided us with a map of all restaurants in the area. The breakfast there was a buffet style with basic Japanese items such as rice, miso soup, grilled fish, natto, tofu, etc. Not too spectacular, but it was fair. One last thing - the hotel is not a walking distance from the gorge for average American people."

"We absolutely loved our stay here. The best part other than our awesome view was the shower! I loved the water pressure. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It was a 12 minute walk from Oita Station, and there was a Lawson around the corner. We also got free breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The room was spacious but the balcony was the star of the room. Would definitely stay here again."
