9 friends stayed here for a quick friends’ getaway- it was the perfect spot for us! We enjoyed shopping and dining in Sandpoint, and then being at this home to unwind and fellowship together. The hottub was huge and fit us all! The house encouraged downtime and fun- cozy spots to sit and visit, closet stocked with games, ping pong table and foosball- so fun! Well stocked, nicely decorated home. Friendly and quick responses from the owners- Loved it!
We did an extended family trip with 9 of us for a week! The house had everything we needed and more, lots of games to play, plenty of towels and dishes. The resident peacock greeted us every morning as we enjoyed the back patio. There is lots of friendly cats and animals on the property just to be aware if you have any allergies. The couple was located next door with any questions or concerns if needed, they were friendly and accommodating. My only concern was ease of access! Driveway was steep/tight but common in the area, as well as the access at the end of the road onto or from the highway was difficult sometimes just due to traffic. Nothing that can be done but just for a heads up! Great house for large groups! We had a fantastic stay.
We thought it was awesome, though “quirky” as one of my cousins expressed. Some things were updated, some not, but great space for all 19 of us to gather in the spacious living room for games and visiting ( only 9 stayed in the house— the rest at a campground) for our reunion. When we had an issue with the water the owners resolved it immediately. Thank you for everything ‼
My two sisters and I and our families just completed a week in this great property as part of a larger family reunion. The owners were very responsive to all questions and concerns and they are very close if anything is needed. We put all of the kids in the basement bedroom, which has lots of bunks and stays very cool, and that worked out pretty well. It was nice that they had their own hangout space down there, too. Decor of the house was great and there is lots of seating in the living room for everyone, which is not always the case in properties targeted at big groups. The upstairs beds and bedrooms were great for our needs, but we found that the extra single bed in one of the rooms, which we were planning to use, turned out to be a cot. It all worked out, and we all enjoyed seeing the animals every day and exploring the property.Super close to Sandpoint and the lake, and a great time was had by all!
There was garbage, like a plastic tub of old dishes filled with rainwater, tarps, garbage cans in the front lawn/parking area. There was a dishwasher that had been pulled out leaning against the house right next to the hot tub. Besides being unsightly it was not safe for guest. There was a note on the oven that it was not in good repair and it may or may not work, and it would be loud. We intended to cook all our meals at the home, so having advertised kitchen appliance in working order was expected. There were also dead bugs in the control panel for the oven. The owner admitted to those - but seemed to think they were OK because they'd been there since before he bought the property. There was cat hair on the sofa, two of us had problems with cat hair and could tell immediately from swollen eyes and need for asthma inhalers. (No pets allowed was noted when we booked.)The general cleanliness was OK but not great, however I understand that the downstairs toilet is stained brown. We pulled old kids toys from under the sofa and it was clear that behind the furniture was never cleaned. Again, OK but not great. There are no curtains on the large windows in the living areas. We appreciate that this home is next to the owners cabin it would have been nice to have some privacy.
