"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. "A great location close to main roads and an easy commute to Ipswich, Norwich and the surrounding areas. Superb accomodation with very friendly staff and a fantastic range of freshly cooked food. Great range of drinks in the bar and nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast is excellent and again a greta range of food to choose from."

"This hotel has just been taken over by a new company and definitely needs some love and attention. However the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was of good quality. Bed in our room was a double despite being plenty of room for a king which would have been nicer. Good location for visiting lots of places in Suffolk and would definitely recommend a visit to the Guinness Inn."

"Good bar staff, nice food, OK breakfast if you're OK with a buffet style cooked breakfast where things are kept lukewarm on a tray (doesn't work with fried eggs). Little jugs four milk for the table to put into coffee or tea would be a good idea, save having to get up and get the milk from the buffet every time you top up. Very nice room, nice shower. Excellent friendly service at reception very helpful - thanks! Dog friendly (and not a stupid charge either)!"

"Highly recommend lovely accommodation, clean,welcoming , amazing welcome pack, hot tub was a nice addition. The garden is amazing. A very quiet safe area with great access to the attractions the area has to offer."

"Highly recommended this hotel the room was clean and comfortable, but I would say if you have issues with stairs request a lower floor. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. We had dinner at the hotel, great food and plentiful, the same with breakfast. The bar was good as well, old and had character. Great stay. Will definitely stay again."
