"Shell Cottage is a delightful property within a short walk to beach and many restaurants and shops in Camps Bay. Property is mature with lovely gardens and planting , comfortable furnishings. Alia may be THE best VRBO host we have ever had (3-4 rentals /year) - everything you could possibly need with prompt and helpful responses. Priviledge takes great care of you and her warm smile brightens every day. I highly recommend this location and absolutely wonderful accommodations."

The town itself can't compete with the stores or restaurants of Kalk Bay or Simon's Town, but they are closeby. We had a rental car during our stay, which made visiting the nearby towns and Table Mountain National Park convenient."

"We arrived to find the property completely vacant with no furniture. It had clearly not been used for a considerable length of time and was in a state of decay. We had to scramble to find alternative accommodation . I expect a complete refund. I have pictures of the empty cottage if needed."

"I want to say that the location was excellent with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It had summer coastal cottage feel and that it didn't lack amenities - which it did. My only complaint was a general feeling of tiredness and lack of attention to detail. The little touches that would have made it great as opposed to quite "ok" and value for the money. It was on the higher range and depended too much on the view. So overall - don' t get the wrong idea. I liked it quite a bit but i needs a womans...

"This was truly a piece of Heaven for us. Waking up laying in bed seeing the sunrise with those views were such a treat. The home was beautifully decorated and had all of the amenities one would need. The golf course was beautiful and we enjoyed the wildlife while we were there. "Listing stated that the home is 8557 square feet. That is not true, Listing also stated that the home has 3 baths. That also is not true. The method of drying clothes is by using a clothes line behind the home which also gets sprayed by the lawn sprinklers multiple times a day. Home does not have Air Conditioning and was too hot to sleep with windows closed. Home also has a pool which attracts insects which left us and our friends covered in bug bites each morning."
