Best location on the Etruscan Coast The villa is located in the center of Castiglioncello, just a stone’s throw from shops, bars, and restaurants. It is 200 meters from the train station, which offers connections to Livorno (20 min), Pisa (30 min), Florence (1 hr. 30 min), Grosseto (1 hr 20 min). A short walk through the private grove leads directly to Castiglioncello’s seaside promenade; a 200-meter stroll takes you to the Marradi pine forest, a pedestrian-only area where children can enjoy mini-golf and carousels while parents watch over them from the comfort of the bar’s tables or browse the store windows. Heading in the other direction, in ten minutes—still along the seaside promenade—you’ll reach the “Cala de Medici” marina. The small square at the marina is lined with bars, restaurants, and shops, and during the summer, various shows and events are organized there. The coastline is mostly rocky, with a few small sandy beaches and distinctive sandy or rocky coves. The famous “white beaches” of Vada are 2 km away (viewable online). A bike path starts in Rosignano Solvay, leading to the white beaches; it passes through the Cecina Mare pine forest and takes you all the way to the Bibbona Fort.
