"The heaters need to be cleaned really badly. We turned them on because the house was cold, but they started to smell horrible. Like burnt dust. The carpets are stained and need a good steam cleaning. There was a very strange and offensive odor in the master bedroom. It smelled like the chemicals in a hair salon. We booked 3 nights and only stayed for 1. Expedia tried to reach out to the property owner, but they didn’t respond and we couldn’t get our money back. I don’t recommend this rental."

"The property was 1st class. Spotlessly clean and excellently equipped. There were even the essentials available in the fridge when we arrived. The quality of (what’s looks like a very recent) renovation was very very good. The shower was amazing and the property was toasty warm. As for Pennan, it was a delightfully remote spot where it was wonderful to be woken up in the morning by the sound of the waves. Highly recommend. "

"The only drawback to the hotel is the lack of reception area. You check in at the bar. Breakfast was included and was excellent (I had smoked haddock cooked in milk with a poached egg). We arrived late and the staff were prepared for our arrival. The sea view was lovely too."
