•The light above the sink and the one on the stove did not work. It made it a little difficult to see when cooking breakfast every day.•A 12" pan, 10" pan and a 9x6 cookie sheet were the only pans provided in the beautiful, full-size kitchen; no hot pads.•No salt/pepper or coffee provided. I have stayed in a handful of VRBO’s that offer those basic amenities. You had the coffee maker and filters but no coffee cups.•No ice cube trays in the freezer at all. We had to buy a bag of ice.•Only bath towels were provided; no hand towels or washcloths. We had to go buy hand towels and washcloths from Dollar General after claiming there are plenty of paper towels; however, we don't use those in the shower.•The oscillating fan in the one bedroom upstairs did not work. Luckily, we brought another fan with us since we knew there wasn’t A/C. I brought that to the owner's and he simply said it was working the other week, knowing that one bedroom would be without one.•The washing machine had a horrendous smell and I found a wet piece of white cardboard of some sort was stuck on the drum that I took out. I washed a load of towels and it seemed to help a little, but I wonder how long it was in there for?•There was a TV but no Wi-Fi, which was disclosed; however, we thought there would at least be local channels provided, only a DVD.•2-blocks from Higgins Lake is a little deceiving when there's no public access.•A hornet's nest was on the back of the house
