Delighted we stayed
Loved Rome, had some ups and downs, most of the people we encountered were lovely some not so, short tempered, ill mannered, but overall wouldn't put me off going back for a 3rd time. Micald B&B is perfectly situated for visiting all of the main areas for sightseeing. Within less than a 5 minute walk you get the most amazing view of Colosseum whilst walking through the park which houses the Trajan Baths and Domus Aurea. Miclad is more like an Airbnb as it has a kitchen area with kettle, a Lavazza Coffee Maker, full size fridge/freezer, coffee and tea were provided. Having those facilities was brilliant as although breakfast was included (at a nearby coffee shop, which we didn't use) we were able to keep milk etc to have our own self prepared breakfast, which was fabulous. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom with it's rainfall shower, proper hairdryer was just right. Miclad is close enough to the various restaurants to enjoy dinner with a stroll back. Within a short walk is the metro which is a great bonus for getting around. 2 stops to Termini which is the main station for the artery lines to the main sights. Self check-in was a breeze and we were able to leave our luggage there on our last day as we had several hours to wait to go to the airport. We booked a pick up to return to Ciampino which was fabulous and quick, the driver friendly and courteous. Daniele, the owner was fabulous and kept in touch with us the whole time. Thank you Daniele for a wonderful stay.
