The best hotel in my life

The family is wonderful. They helped us a lot. I am really appreciate what they did for us. When I visit Roma next time, I definitely visit the hotel and the family.

日本大使館近くで安心のホテル

共同のバスルーム（洗面台、トイレ、シャワーを完備したものが2部屋）に抵抗がなければ問題なく宿泊できると思います。陽気なおじいさんとその奥さん、若い女性のスタッフ何名かが色々と親切に対応してくれます。ただし、受付に常にスタンバイしているわけではないので、質問があるときは彼らを見つけ次第しっかりつかまえて聞いておくのが正解です。（お昼寝かお散歩にいっている模様…？）若いスタッフは英語が堪能。老夫婦との会話はイタリア語のみですが、イタリア語が話せなくともコミュニケーションはとれます、大丈夫です。朝食は朝8時～確か10時まで、一人２．５ユーロです。朝早くから観光予定だったためいただいていませんが、雰囲気の良い食堂が設けられており好感が持てました。チェックイン時には、おじいさんが観光マップを見せながらコロッセオやヴァチカンへ向かうバスの停留所、その他名所を丁寧に教えて下さいました。ローマ初心者の私にはとても有難かったです。

Great place, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. The room was clean and spacious for Italy. But there was not AC.

It’s a pity that the property is not kept to a standard in such a nice area. Lift was not working, nor was the AC. The mattress gave me back pain just after one night. Staff was nice, kind and offered to carry our luggage to 4th floor! The room was clean but the amenities were too backdated! I would not consider this property even for a short stay unless the owner invests in its redo.

This is not a bad place to stay especially for the frugal or thrifty traveler; however, I highly recommend avoiding this place in the intense heat. The rooms have no AC, and you will bake alive. Once the outside temperature reached 100°F, I actually abandoned this hotel for another around the block. I would only recommend this place for the cooler late fall, winter.

I’m a 21yr old and visited Rome for the first time, wanting a cheap and affordable place to stay that was in walking distance to the city center. Gialel is exactly that. I went during peak season and they didn’t rip me off, and it was a 15 minute walk to Trevi. No AC, but if you simply use the room as a “rest stop”, it works wonders. Clean sheets, bathroom, and friendly staff. Not much more needed than that if you’re visiting Rome on a budget.

La cama matrimonial su base era de unas tablitas angostas y del lado derecho estaban rotas, por lo que dormia como en un hoyo, busqué al administrador, pero no tuve suerte. Tambien el aire acondicionado hace un ruido raro y molesto al igual que la bomba de agua del baño, le hace falta mantenimiento sin duda.

Völlig Überteuert !!! Wer keinerlei Ansprüche hat, ist hier richtig. Die gute Bewertung in hotels.com trifft nicht zu. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das ist aber auch schon alles ! Das Zimmer wurde in hotels.com als Vierbettzimmer mit 2 Doppelbetten angeboten. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer mit 1 Queenbett und einem ausziehbaren Sofa. Nicht akzeptabel. Die Möbel sind wenig und sehr einfach. Die Fotos in Hotels.com spiegeln einen zu positiven Eindruck. Das Zimmer war muffig. Ohne Klimaanlage ging es nicht. Die hatte nur 22 Grad als einzige Temperatur und schaltete sich demzufolge automatisch an und ab - auch nachts. Wir haben uns eine Riesenerkältung wegen der Zugluft geholt. Die Etagentüre zum Treppenhaus ist gleichzeitig der Fluchtweg im Notfall. Wenn es im Holztreppenhaus brennt, gibt es keinen weiteren Fluchtweg. Die Etagentüre zum Treppenhaus hat keine Klinke. Wir waren nicht die Einzigen, die am ersten Tag nicht wußten, wie sich diese Türe öffnen lässt, um ins Treppenhaus zu kommen. Man hatte vergessen es uns zu zeigen. Wir riefen über Telefon an, bis jemand kam und es uns erklärte. Nochmal: diese Türe zum Treppenhaus ist gleichzeitig die Fluchttüre im Brandfall. Nie wieder Gialel Guesthouse. Für das Geld gibt es bessere Unterkünfte !

Estaría perfecto ampliarán el espacio de regadera y hubieran souvenir como Jamón y Shampoo fuera de ello lo recomiendo está súper seguro y más la habitación en mi caso solo iba yo y mi hija de 11 años y en todo momento estuvimos seguras en la propiedad, todo queda cerca caminando y el recepcionista nos habló en español y nos ayudó a ubicarnos en la ciudad más que perfecto volveremos!

Rooms are minimalist tasteful modern designed. The extra seating was appreciated. The blackout windows, by virtual of an electronic pull-down cover, are great. Nice balcony for all rooms. While limited, breakfast was great. I had the best scrambled eggs that I ever had. Breakfast was simple, but all that was needed.

Friendly and helpful staff came quality to check us in. The room is extremely basic, with only had a refrigerator, but no other amenities, not even cups. Staff gave us some verify flimsy plastic cups. After putting 2 together, that was not enough. The elevator was only allowed with luggage. Me at 71 and wife at 68, had to walk up from the ground floor to the 4th floor, 5 initial steps and 19.steps to ea h floor above. Need to inform guuests, in advance, to know how to do calls via WhatsApp. The walking distance to the nearest Hop-on-Hope-Off stop and Metro was a blt long, but doable.

If you arrive before the check in time there is no way to enter the building and no one to ask questions of. If you are dropped off by their transfer you can’t drop your bags off, as they state, because you can’t get in the building. The office is on the second floor, which wasn’t communicated to us. The elevator is not accessible so you carry your bags up two floors. The woman who arrived to check us in was very friendly and helpful but we were already aggravated by that point. Also, they are NOT a bed and breakfast as advertised. We were notified at check in that they are a guest house and don’t have breakfast even though all of their advertising and signage says Bed And Breakfast. Overall not really happy with this listing
