Misleading Listing – Not a True 2-Bedroom

We were shocked and extremely disappointed upon arrival. The listing claimed to be a 2-bedroom property, but in reality, it’s two entirely separate apartments—one down the hall, the other up a flight of stairs. That’s not a 2-bedroom; that’s two separate units, and should be listed as such. Completely unacceptable for a family with minor children who need to stay together.To make matters worse, the air conditioning was almost nonexistent, which is crucial in Rome’s summer heat when temps are soaring above 98F. We arrived late and were thrown into chaos trying to find a place where our family could safely stay together. Thankfully, we ended up at the Forum Hotel around the corner, which I highly recommend—fantastic location and service.The neighborhood itself is excellent, but this property was a major letdown. That said, I want to give credit to VRBO for stepping in and handling the refund quickly and professionally. They saved us from what would have been a miserable

Disappointing

While this vacation rental was in an ideal location on a very quaint street, our group was disappointed by the lack of responsiveness from the property manager and the extra charges that were unexpectedly applied. On arrival, only two towels were provided and one had blood stains all over it. When we raised concerns, it took most of the day and an extra phone call to have the towels replaced. Both units ran out of the limited toilet paper that was supplied. When we asked to have the toilet paper restocked, the property manager said that it was up to us to resupply toilet paper at our own cost. The on-line photos also are deceptive. For example, in one suite, the bathroom is on a separate level from the bedroom with a steep staircase that one has to navigate at night. Counter space in the bathroom of this unit is limited. The building has old world charm, but the hallways have a particularly nasty odour especially for the upstairs unit where the entry is up a flight of stairs which is difficult to navigate with suitcases. At the end of our stay, we also were surprised with an extra charge of 56 euros to be left on the table. We are still unclear about the reason for the charge that was not listed on-line when we booked the units. At night, we had to close our windows because of street reveller noise. Overall, we were so disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this rental.

Ideal Location

Nothing like walking out your door into the Forum and just a few blicks from the Colosseum! The apartment(s) are in an ideal location for great restaurants, train station, and local market. We had an amazing time and would book again.

First time in Rome

We really enjoyed this apartment! We booked two apartments at this building and they were both great. They both felt modern but with classic charm. The A/C was much needed and it worked great! The location of the apartments was close to a lot of great restaurants and historic sites, and made for an easy morning walk to get breakfast and see the Coliseum in the distance. Our host was helpful and checked on us to make sure everything was okay during our trip. We really felt comfortable and at home, we’d stay again!

Rome with wife and 4 teenage kids

This was our first stop after landing in Rome. The owners helped arrange transportation from the airport for us. The property is walking distance to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. The Monti neighborhood has many shops, restaurants, gelato stands etc. The apartments are very nice, good a/c and wifi. The owners were great, very responsive and helpful. Check in and check out we’re easy. Very nice stay.

Family with 3 teenage daughters had a great stay. Perfectly located and walking distance to great restaurants, desserts and the Colosseum.

Great location but needs some cleaning

The location of the property is excellent. Communication with the host was great. They allowed us to drop our bags while they cleaned so that we could go do a tour. Very appreciative. Upon arrival, we learned that the air conditioning unit in one of the apartments was not working. Host was very quick to call for maintenance. The tile in the shower in the ground floor apartment is very old and dirty. So much so that we decided not to use this shower. Instead we all showered in the 1st floor apartment. The floors in both apartments were not cleaned, therefore we kept our shoes on at all times. The 1st floor apartment had flying bugs that we could not figure out where they were coming from as we kept all the windows closed. Again great location but unfortunately I would not stay here again due to the shower and the bugs.
