"My family and I stopped at the Hampton inn on our drive back up to NYC from Florida. Besides a strange person asking for money late at night the hotel was great. The hotel made sure the person was removed from the premises. In the morning Rose was so nice while my family and I were having breakfast. Rose was so helpful guiding us through the breakfast room. True southern hospitality from the entire team. Thank you!!"

"Overall, it's a very nice place for relaxing. Unfortunately the water was extremely low but that's no fault of the host. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would recommend putting in a stairway to the grilling area, the slope is for people younger than us. Very nice place and clean, we wiped everything down before we left so it should be left as clean as we got it. We will probably rent it again."

"Richard was an excellent host. He contacted us in advance of checkin and let us know what supplies would be included which let me know what I needed to bring (shampoo, body soap, hand soap for all sinks, laundry detergent, and extra TP and paper towels to last 8 people five days). I was very happy with what was included in the kitchen. Plenty of utensils, dishes, serving bowls, etc. Plenty of towels for 8 people. Ants were an issue in the kitchen but Richard had forewarned us to keep food closed up, so we brought totes to put the food in, and kept open bags of snacks and cereal in a sealed tub. We also saw on the local facebook pages that ants were a problem everywhere due to a lot of rain. The bunkbed was in a separate area, not necessarily in what I would call a bedroom but my college aged kids were still more than happy to sleep there because we had such a great time at the property. We brought our own jet skis and could tie them to the dock so we didn’t have to trailer them each day. The location on the lake is excellent for people that like to tube or ski. The cove was protected so we had good water morning and late afternoon. We had a great time and are even booking to return again next year. Thanks Richard!"

"The house is beautiful and well-appointed, perfect for a large group. The guest house allows some privacy/ separation from the rest of the group. It’s good to know: 1 of the bedrooms in the main house is the game room, people staying in that room don’t have much privacy if anyone else wants to play pool or arcade games. Also, another of the king bedrooms in the main house does not have an en-suite bath and must use half bath around the corner and/or share bath in the game room. The guest house has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are connected by jack-n-jill bath. Then there is a 2nd bath for the other BR. It was great to have the ping pong and pool tables. There is a lot of grass growing in the lake close to shore which bothers some. We jumped off the dock to avoid it or you can take a boat out and swim from that. We had few issues and they were all dealt with promptly. Per house description, propane for the grill was not provided which we found a little annoying but in fact there was enough propane left for us to grill the one day we wanted to. The Blue Jay Bistro in town was only 11 minutes away and really nice."
