Butterfly Safari Tent is a spacious and elegant retreat nestled in a private garden. on the back deck, it overlooks the wild flower meadow, fields and woodlands. It is set amidst the scenic beauty of North Yorkshire’s Great Outdoors. Beautifully designed, it offers a unique blend of outdoor living with all the comforts of a modern home, creating a truly relaxing yet adventurous glamping getaway.

Each tent features a generous living space with an open-plan kitchenette equipped with a microwave oven, four-plate induction hob, fridge, freezer and tea and coffee facilities.

The spacious living area includes two large sofas, a Smart TV, and a wood-burning stove, while the dining area boasts a large family table with great views over the terrace.
Butterfly has three comfortable bedrooms, accommodating up to eight people, including children of all ages. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has a double set of bunk beds sleeping four. The third bedroom offers a king-size bed in an enclosed cabin on a raised platform accessible by a ladder. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request. All bedrooms are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen, 13.5 tog duvets and an electric blanket for added comfort.
The family bathroom includes all facilities with a generous overhead rainfall shower.

Step outside to cook on the gas BBQ, or sit around the firepit perfect for marshmallow toasting. Unwind in the hot tub, on the raised deck, where you’ll find an additional seating and dining area.

Dogs are welcome, and you’ll have access to the surrounding local walks right on the doorstep.

For ultimate relaxation, you can also reserve the wood-fired Sauna and Cold Plunge’ experience – a perfect space to relax, reconnect, and recharge. Whether solo or with loved ones, this retreat invites you to switch off from the hustle and bustle of daily life and fully unwind. More details can be found below.

Butterfly is located in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales, known for its breath-taking landscapes, rich culture, and diverse wildlife. The area offers a variety of outdoor activities, including fly fishing, cycling, and bird watching, perfect for nature enthusiasts.

Three dogs are allowed for a small additional charge of £20.00 per dog. We politely ask that dogs are kept off all beds and furniture
Highchair and travel cot can be provided upon request, free of charge
Logs and kindling are provided for both the log burner and the hot tub
Bottle gas provided for BBQ
Fly fishing is also available on site. Please enquire before booking.
Golfing is available in the nearby town of Ripon



SAUNA & COLD PLUNGE EXPERIENCE
The wood-fired sauna and cold plunge overlooks the River Ure for an unforgettable experience.
Feel your stress fade away in the sauna and rejuvenate in the cold plunge. Rain or shine, the Riverdale Sauna & Plunge offers a space to relax, reconnect, and recharge.
You can book the entire sauna for yourself, couple or friends/family. This is a private session, so you will not have to share the sauna with others. We allow a maximum of 4 people in a private session. This is a 90’ minute long session including time for changing before and after.
If you book on behalf of your group, you need to make sure that everybody has read and agreed to the waiver form.
Everybody in the group needs to be at least 16 years old to use the sauna.
