OUTSTANDING!!!

Adorable little town, and this motel was just what we were looking for. The owner(?) met us at the front desk and was all ready for us to check in, even though I'd just booked on-line about an hour before. He was incredibly nice, and didn't bat an eye when I told him we had 2 puppies with us. Our room was huge and very comfortable and INCREDIBLY clean! I was really impressed. I loved being able to park right outside our room, too. If you're in Gunnison, don't pass this place up. It's perfect!

The property was old and tired. The room very small. Barely enough room for the bed. The property reminded me of staying at my grandparents house.

This hotel is a SCAM !!!! I booked online and prepaid for the night. They left a voicemail without saying who they were. I called back the number and then they said that they didn't have any rooms left. I politely asked for an email sghowing that they cancelled our booking , and that we would no be charged and they declined to write it. The manager told me I could come and sleep on their parking lot in my car and that they would charge me for it. I received an email asking how my arrival went and answered that there was no room available and that the staff was rude. The hotel responded this : " F*** ***!!! " Do not go there !!!! Expedia told me that they were still accepting other bookings for the same hotel as the hotel didn't notify they were "supposedly" full. And yes when you prepay the hotel HAS TO CANCEL AND REFUND not say if you don't come we don't charge you ... WROOOOONNNGGG and they know it! They are liars and getting insulted for a room you already paid is not worth this crappy hotel!

Great stay

The inn was very nice. The room was small, and appliances out dated, but that didn’t matter. The bed was comfortable, and everything worked. The showers are tiny, but they get the job done. Very happy with how clean and well maintained it was. Only real complaint was that the first time I called the inn I got ahold of someone very rude, but every time my husband called he got great service. Check in went smoothly and the man at the desk was very nice.

The room was given away by Gunnison so I had to sleep in my car at a Rest Area! Since it was a three night situation, the owner sent me away for two nights at her other place. Please remove the first night from my stay.

Stay here if you want your money stolen from you!

I really can't say if the hotel was clean. When i tried to check in the desk clerk was very rude to me because hotels.com had made a mistake and let me book a room when there was none available! When i called hotels.com to get my money back because i had prepaid for my non refundable room, they said they would get back to me. They looked into it and the Gunnison Inn is going to stick to their policies and not refund my money. So if you want to give your hard earned money away and not receive a service, by all means stay at this hotel. I will never book with hotels.com again because they do not stand behind their customers!

The Gunnison Inn was clean and reasonably comfortable. The microwave and refrigerator were useful. The staff was welcoming. It's the only motel in town so there is little push to upgrade.

I was pleasantly surprised about this hotel. We arrived after 9:00 but there was someone there to check us in. The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a very nice job during our stay. We liked having the beds in separate rooms. The only thing that was an issue is that there wasn’t a hairdryer in the room - I should’ve checked before the trip. Overall we would stay there again.

I liked that this Inn was close to an event that I was attending. I was able to sleep longer because I was so close. I didn't like that I arrived at 9:10 and had to call to get checked in as it seemed that the staff had already left for the evening.

About what you’d expect from a 1/2 star. Small, relatively clean, but lots of spiders and bugs, and the linens and towels reeked of cigarette smoke. A/C worked well. Would be nice to have a box of Kleenexes.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Took a long time to get hot water; had to let it run for about 5-10 minutes before it finally warmed up, but it was wonderful thereafter. Property is a older, so room was rather small.
