"They told us on route to the airport the house was not available and we could stay elsewhere.We tried to cancel but VRBO dragged their feet and after 2 nights in hotel rooms we took up the offer rather than lose all our money. The alternate place was nice but no view or place to sit in the sun without paying 50 US dollars a day for a club 10 minute walk from house. "Royal St Kitts Hotel is a great place to stay when visiting St Kitts. This place has very friendly and helpful staff. If you need anything, they are right on top of helping you and your family. We had a one bedroom with sleeper couch that was very clean with a full equipment kitchen. Their restaurant food was excellent and so was the entertainment on Friday night. There was a grocery store, bakery, and Hard Rock Cafe right in front of hotel. Several other restaurants are also within walking distance. The port pier and beaches are only a 10 minutes drive. We went to visit in August and the weather was in the lower 80’s all day. Everyone was very nice on the island. I did rent a car and tested my driving skills by driving on the left hand side of the road. We enjoyed our vacation at St Kitts and will definitely go back."
