Set on four acres of private forest, this log cabin originally built in 1969, and fully renovated in 2025, invites you to step into a slower rhythm from an earlier era—one shaped by the sound of the river, the glow of firelight, and the feeling of being far away from everything that rushes you.

And yet—when needed—you’re never disconnected. The cabin offers blazing-fast Wi-Fi, strong enough for remote work, streaming, and multiple devices, along with two thoughtfully placed workspaces for those who must stay plugged into the world.


Just three minutes to the town of Welches and 20 minutes to Mount. Hood skiing, The Gwendolyn gives you wilderness without inconvenience.

While mountain temperatures in the summer are typically mild, the cabin includes a portable air-conditioning unit in the living room for cooling during warmer summer days. Every bedroom has a portable fan as well.

Please note like many mountain locations, storms and high winds can create power outages at the cabin, which typically are short, but on occasion can be multiple days.
